A friend of mine got sepsis from an iv ( twice!) and instead of her blood being red, it came out as green sludge! I almost threw up.
Luckily she has tenacious, ferocious friends when the occasion calls for it.
But yes, until the sepsis was turned around she was continuously screaming with realizing it and her face, which is normally quite lovely, looked like some of the death masks from Herculean and Pompeii. I used to run in an ambulance and sepsis is worse than any accident or illness I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
She is alive and doing fine now.

I'm so glad your friend is well now. Having fierce, tenacious friends helps so much! Sepsis has a mortality rate of over 75%. It was always sad and awful when we lost a patient.

My SIL developed sepsis from the flu many years ago. I was at the hospital (not mine) every day. ICU nurses are bitches; I'm not afraid to let her out when needed. My SIL is well now, also.

Right! I tend to keep my cars for a long time. However, when they become unreliable, it makes me anxious and I need a new one. I kept my car before this one for 11 years. I might never need a new car again with the mileage I put on this one!

I’m going to try making haddock for the first time, probably in the air fryer. Does anyone have any advice like seasoning or anything?
I mainly have salmon.

How was it? I don't have any advice for you. I don't cook fish.

My husband would grill salmon. It was really delicious! He made a baste of butter, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. He started the fish skin side down, basting as it cooked. When he turned it, he peeled the skin away and put it on the deck railing for the crows. It only takes a few minutes each side.

We only cooked wild salmon; I won't buy "Atlantic" salmon. That's what fish producers call farmed salmon here. They're nasty. Copper River salmon is the best!

I use Old Bay seasoning on my Whitefish and Walleye. Or I just coat the fillets with bread crumbs. I like to keep it simple as I want the flavor of this fish to dominate.

My friend has a pic line and both times were touch and go. No hospital would accept her either times because she a rare disease patient and we literally had to force them to. The first time we had to call in the state. I said good bye to her both times, but we persevered and she survived.

It's made with mercury, and you chew food on it!

But I believe the secret is how much mercury wants to bond with the silver. Did some tox screening a while back. Despite having a few fillings mercury wasn't detected.

Honestly, I think the body can clear some mercury. Which is good, because some of the freshwater lakes around here are in rock that contains a fair bit of mercury. Fish from those lakes are high in it.

I recall uptake of mercury requires methylation by bacteria. There was a release of mercury into St. Clair River and methylation occurred resulting in banning of fish consumption from the River.

They tend to get issues around 22 yrs!

I have talked to this lot about this with my plantar fascism in my left foot. I was hating Life. I went to a (young) foot doctor and she was kindly and helpful but I think I got better advice here, and I did some thinking.


Hold on to your testicles . . . .


Freeze a bottle of water and roll it under your foot some. Ice packs are decent, too. The plantar and the Achilles both make things feel tight in your calfs. Best way to stretch those is on a stair, heels over the edge and down to pull the calfs. Make sure you hold onto the rail so as not to lose your balance. 2-3-4 minutes a day is quite helpful. I found some shoe inserts with more arch support to be helpful, too. Walmart has some stuff in the foot section at the pharmacy that helps, too, to keep a bit of pressure up on the plantar. It's all tied together.


Of this mixed bag of stuff, I think the stretching has been of the greatest benefit.

Getting a good arch support in all my shoes helped me when I had plantar fasciitis last year. Also the exercise you mentioned helped. It takes time. Remember to not walk barefoot either.
