🌶️💃🏻🎸Brat House: Boobs, Bums and Bedlam🌶️💃🏻🎸

Her backstory doesn't make her a good villain. She just is one.

Daenerys or Sansa has a more interesting female villain arc, imo
In the final season, there’s a fantastic shot of Cersei standing on the outside of an unfinished floor mosaic of the world, while Jamie is on the mosaic.

To your point, this shows she is out of touch with reality. Cool camera shot.

There it is… I knew a nerd would come in and do a female villain dump. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Lady Macbeth, Maleficent, Méabh (if you are from Ulster), Nurse Ratched, Margaret White (Carrie's mom), most of Greek mythology.

My favorite example is Medusa. She was a mortal woman, who was raped by Poseidon in Athena's temple. Athena saw this as defilement, and instead of going after the rapist, she turned his victim into a monster. (There is a reason why Epic changes a lot of the story for a modern audience -- Classical mythology is truly fucked up from a modern perspective). Which is why I love Medusa with the Head of Perseus.

Um...Cercei is one because of her backstory. Who we were makes us who we are, even fictional characters.

Humans need a backstory. (Evil fairies don't. They fit your "she just is one" narrative. Not that we disagree on this or anything... )

Took the day off.
This is great, I love that for you!
My ex gave me a ticket to the Hops, one of my favorite Class A baseball teams,
I did not know you liked baseball!
on Craft Beer Night
I did know this, though.
to me for my birthday
In April, right?
(it helps that she bought the ticket, then found she was going to be out of town, but I am giving her the benefit of the doubt.)
Did you really want her to go anyway???
*Snickers* and *ducks*

I really don't care that much, but I like the Hops, and I like being outside on a decent day drinking beer and surounded by people who are passionate about something they love, even if I don't.
I did know this, though.
Yes.

We can go to events without a problem. We like each other, still love each other, we just can't stand to live with each other.

It works.

should be obvious by the video...but another miscommunication while teasing (she teases harder and meaner than almost anyone btw) and a tantrum led to an exit and some things said in other threads. now by all means, we all have voices and we should all use them, but ive said many times, you need to give people the benefit of the doubt in here if youre going to tease each other. otherwise it is going to lead to hurt feelings and the loss of the thread. but im not going to condone full on tantrums. we are all adults. even if some of us are brats. thank you for coming to my ted talk on a rainy saturday.
In the same way, it is easy to get hurt as well, and pain is real whether it is intentional or not. We have stated here that if someone crosses a line, whether they see it as such or not, it is valid to call that out, in love as it were. I didn't see a tantrum, I saw someone say "you hurt me, I mean it, and I am out for the night." Which is a reasonable reaction, and one of an adult.

Pain happens, sometimes it heals, and I would rather have her in my life here.

And now your sass levels have reached bratty and that's our job as brats. Gah! First you steal my panties, now you tryna steal my job! *throws hands up as I storm off to coffee* What. Is. Happening?!
I told you, I’d never steal your panties. However, if you want to give them to me after I peel them off you then that another story.

you make valid points, except pattern of behavior, significantly more aggressive behavior given then received, no attempt at a conversation, and comments made in other streams...narrow view i agree with you, full picture i stand by what i said. lets just be nicer to each other.

You know, there are days where I should keep my mouth shut. Today is one of those days, but I’m not going to.

I followed @Fiestykitten here from another thread. She is one of the sweetest women I’ve met on Lit, and I’ve been on here a day or two. Does she tease hard and push back, yes but that’s what makes her who she is. Everyone has a story who makes them who they are. Some share that story on line, others don’t. Nobody should assume they know the real person or their story just because you flirt or tease each. I have to use the same discipline here that I use in RL, I try to reread my post at least twice (just like my work email) to make sure my attitude is in check and I’m truly saying what I want to. I encourage others to do the same. Don’t forget there is a real person in the other end of your conversation, someone you don’t know their story, so just take it easy and be kind.
