If Donald Trump is Eligible for a 3rd term so is Barack Obama

Welp, that would definitely usher in the apocalypse…(civil war???)

😑

Back to reality: There will be NO third term for either.

😑

I’m willing to civil war over it, as should any real American.

👍

We. Told. Them. So.

I doubt he survives this term.

Obama is a charismatic hack. He was smart enough to be elected on vague empty promises, but that would not be enough post-Trump. To win the next term, the Dems would need a nuts-and-bolts candidate, someone who is ready with specific plans to work with what we have and what has been done, not spout vague BS.

This thread is triggering the most racist Deplorables very nicely so far. :)

There are no legal, constitutional methods for doing so.
Maybe I am wrong but he could declare martial law for some flimsy reason and then take over, right? He is doing everything he said he will do so I would take his words, even if they appear as mad rumbling, a bit seriously. If not him it could be someone from his family. Jared and Ivanka maybe? They have been quiet and that scares me. Although Ivanka is pretty hot, wouldn't mind seeing more of her 😁 all pun intended 😁

Doubtful. Every officer in the Armed Forces swears an oath of loyalty -- to the Constitution, not to the president. They're very thoroughly indoctrinated about that. No officer would take part in a coup. And you can't enforce martial law without the officers.

Bidenistas and the closet muslim are so full of shit with the fear spreading. DJT drops a worm in the water and you stupid assholes bite.

Of course, the current push is for an amendment that would apply only to presidents who served two nonconsecutive terms. In other words, it's designed specifically to apply only to Trump.

Mind you, even if that amendment were passed, it wouldn't apply to the current president at that time, just as the 22nd amendment didn't apply to Truman.

An amendment has to be passed by 3/4 of the states. Does anybody really imagine that can happen?

I'm reminded of how Governor Earl Long tried to get around Louisiana's term limits by running for lieutenant governor. But he lost the election.
