Personally? With time, trust, communication and compromise. All of which you'll need in a friendship or relationship anyway, so no harm in seeing if you've got those bases covered at the start.

I think this question is so difficult because it's framed as one person wanting more, or moving faster, and ends up looking like a yes/no rather than "I want X and you want Y, so we settle on Z." But it needn't be. If you see it as "I want privacy and you want confidence and trust" then...maybe that's easier to find a middle ground?

I don't know if you've found this, but I've met a few people who want the confidence they feel from a face pic before they'll invest time in building a friendship (as opposed to a Lit relationship of some kind). I get that people want to be sure they're engaging with someone who's basically who they say they are, but I was surprised that a face pic would matter for that, rather than just...chatting?
