Images no longer uploadable to Literotica-Forum

Sadly I noticed that direct image-upload is not longer possible for this forum.
I had a nice thread running for AI-generated images for story-covers. Now everything is gone.

Was there an announcement?
Did I use too much hard drive? For JPGs?

There is/was an exception for story covers for stories submitted to the story side. That didn't transfer to the forum. If your picture posting images were revoked, only the Site Owners/Admins could do that. It has happened to other posters in the past. There is no appeal.

Moral of the story? Do not use fake images. They are not your original content. They steal bits and practices from others.

Your Sig Image is also in violation and should be removed.

What exactly is the meaning of "fake"? AI-Generated?
I don't use images with copyrights. All the Images are generated on my own computer with an AI. I don't see why this could be a problem as long as I don't post pictures of beastiality, incest or other illegal porn.
Why exactly is my signature a problem? This is even softcore and the woman doesn't even exist in real life.
What if i use rendered images? Are they also "fake"?
Do I have to hire a professional model and do a photoshooting to create a story-cover?
Or do I have to draw them using a pencil?

I just don't get it. Whats wrong with AI-Images?

AND: I DON'T STEAL!
Everything I use to generate those Images is software which is available for free. And is even licensed for non-commercial-use: FLUX.1 [dev] Non-Commercial License and even GPL: Stable-Diffusion-WebUI-forge
I never billed someone or took other advantages. So this is a hobby and not my job.

AI image models are pretty much all trained on the stolen, copyrighted work of real photographers and artists, who haven't been credited, compensated, or asked permission for their work.

You may feel like you personally haven't stolen anything... But the AI model you're using has.

Maybe you could see why a site dedicated to amateur creative work would have a problem with that

AI generation is also responsible for absolutely drowning other content communities in low effort spam and slop. Some have become completely un-usable because of AI slop.

I simply don't agree.
I don't spam Literotica with AI-generated stories. And I would never do this. I helped other users to get some story-covers. I even created two covers for myself.
And I don't support your opinion that every training material is pirated.

Depends on how they're rendered. Some use Daz3D or similar and they're OK, because they are the artist's creation using freely available tools.

I saw that. I managed to do one set, then suddenly I couldn't. I thought it was my cache/cookies and even tried another device.

It doesn't matter whether you agree or not. It's site policy not to allow AI generated imagery, and maybe the site has tightened up on such imagery in avatars.

You're getting advice from @jaF0, who is a site appointed moderator for the Visual Artist's Corner, so one can assume they speak on behalf of the site, in terms of what is and is not allowed.

In other words, you're fighting City Hall.
