linking images

I apologize if this has been covered before.

But I've been gone for a little over 2 months and now that I'm back, holy cow, the changes...

Seems I cannot link to images from bdsmlr any longer.
I used to be able to link images into insert image (little postcard above) and pasting the image url address.
It would post the image right into the thread without anyone having to click on a link to the picture.
Is there a workaround for this?

The only work-around I've found is to copy the link, open a new tab or window, and paste link into the URL bar.

I think that bdsmlr blocks direct links from other sites now. It's not something that happens on the Lit end.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that. Still get the "image cannot be loaded from the passed link" message.
What's weird is I can save the image to my computer then upload it via the insert image icon to the LIT servers.
Seems this way will clog up LIT's servers pretty quick.
