I thought about red, but ended up doing only toes in red and going darker with fingers.

My skin is pretty pale, so I would also love some dark tones such as red wine, blue red, brown, etc. However this time I tried the silver one and my fingers look so good you guys I need to ask for pictures from my nail artists

I've never had my fingernails done, but I've had my toes done a couple of times. I'm a little afraid that if I have a pro do my fingernails, I'll never be satisfied with my own nail polish action.

I found the pedicures incredibly uncomfortable, so that stops me from wanting to get my toes done often, even if the end result was better than my own attempts. It was so weird to have someone fondle my feet.

My feet would greatly benefit from a pro at the moment. Sigh. Luckily there's still time before summer to make my feet a little more presentable than they currently are.

It's funny, I don't like my nails very much. They're just... Meh. Especially when they're short, the ratio is just very wrong. Nail polish helps a lot.

Nail oil has helped me keep my nails from not breaking as easily as they used to. They're still not the strongest, though, and especially in winter the situation can get preetty dire. Nail polish helps in this case as well, it makes them stronger, at least temporarily.

Your fear is very reasonable, because now I can’t go back to self-polish anymore. I used to love hunting new colors from OPI and Essie. But now they’re, on the shelf, h(a)unting me.

Yes yes yes. Cute toenails is a must during the summer, otherwise my feet would look like Shrek’s .

I wore fake nails before but they were easily to come off. Now come to think of it, maybe I just put on too little glue

Finally got my first pedicure yesterday since my old nail people moved to Texas like nearly two years ago. My toenails are deep purple now, and I love them.

Finally got my first pedicure yesterday since my old nail people moved to Texas like nearly two years ago. My toenails are deep purple now, and I love them.

I’ve been debating if I should have an actual pedicure or not. It’s so uncomfortable for me but I do like how soft and comfy my feet feel afterwards. Decisions, decisions. Maybe I’ll go before my trip later this month, because it’s likely I’ll be wearing sandals there.

Blue nails currently. I painted the nails on Thursday (Monday today) and slapped on a new coat of top coat today. I was very happily surprised how decent the fresh top coat made the nails look. I’ll have to start using this revival method more often.

For once my toes actually match as well.

Nude fingers. Not the most perfect shade for me. I got a mini bottle of Essie Spin the Bottle with a purchase ages ago, and I think this is the first time I’ve tried it.

I’m getting biting the bullet and getting my feet fixed by a pro today. I’ll hate it but the end result will be worth it, I hope. I’ll just have to decide what color I want my toes to be. So difficult.

I tend to wear ridiculous bright shades on my toes a lot, so chances are it’ll be bright and sparkly.

I feel you on chewing the nails. I used to do that younger and as a result (I think at least that that’s the reason) my nails grow wonky. I can’t have long-er nails and not wear nail polish, it’s just not a pretty look. Ever since I started to post here somewhat regularly, I’ve picked and ripped on my nails a little less often. Maybe that could help you as well? Besides short nails look nice with nail polish as well.

When I’m stressed, I now tend to pick on my nail polish and cuticles which is also not good for my nails and makes my hands look ghastly.

Those are long, pretty nails you have there! It doesn’t look at all like you bite your nails. You can do it again (if you so wish). I’ll try to remember to ping you in a couple of weeks if you haven’t been around.

I love the pale golden shades like you’re wearing in the pic. I’ll cry bitter tears when my favorite bottle either seizes or runs out. I’m rationing it severely.

I went with a brownish purplish sparkly number.

The lady who de-winterized my feet was really nice. We talked about Albania and that took my mind off how uncomfortable the situation in general was for me. Excellent service. Now I want to go to Albania.

I’ve been working on streamlining my nail polish collection a little. I’ve methodically worked through the bottles that were almost used up or mini sized, and now I’m at a pretty good stage. I have to make a trip to the recycling center soon to get rid of the used up bottles. So now there’s plenty of space for another red that’s almost, but not quite, identical to the other reds already in my collection.

Currently soft pink for a little while more. This was my go-to neutral toe color for a long time, but it’s time to get rid of it. This was the last hurrah.

My trusted one is almost used up, so I’m currently eying OPI’s Bubble Bath or maybe I’ll find something in their bridal collection.
It’s not easy to find one I like with neutral fair but slightly olive skin.

It is a good color for me, a good shade of pink. I just went through another stash of nail polishes and I have a very similar color still left. It’s a satin finish, and I’m not entirely sure what that even means, probably “not shiny”, weirdly. I have no recollection of using the color, even though I have clearly used it before. So it’ll be another pink adventure for me in the future!

I ruined the pink nails on my right hand on Friday because I got my finger stuck between the slats of a bench and when I pulled it out, the nail polish largely peeled off. Jesus, what kind of an adult even gets their fingers stuck in benches… I’ve told before that I’m an ungraceful mess, right? Yeah. I’m on the bench-stuck-getting level of ungracefulness.

So anyway, here’s the blue. I think there’s one more round left in the bottle, maybe two.
