Off to drive 2 ish hours for work trip. I have to give a presentation today and I hate it with every piece of my hart....despise loath and can't stand..... I hate with all.the degrees of the sun standing in front of people and being stared at..... pray for me....

This was still little barn cat Ethyl. Fred was more to the front barn (hay, now cars) and Ethyl was in the back barn with the critters. All 4 horses were still alive and well. Geezer used to eat in a small stall (now the goat stall/maturity ward) at the front of the barn so the other critters wouldn't steal his food. Everyone had eaten and Telly, the red horse you have seen pictures of, and Bully Poodle/Calypso were standing near the front at the outside edge of the stall. The Landlady was there - I wish I had been. Horses have about one way to feel something - with their mouths. No fingers, a massive nail at the end of each leg - they use their lips. I call it snozzling. Telly saw the wee three-color cat and decided to investigate, so he gave her a snozzling, not knowing that this was/is Ethyl. One simply does not just snozzle Ethyl. Ethyl does not wish to be snozzled, as she considers this to be Rude Behavior. Ethyl hates Rude Behavior in a horse and she will not tolerate it. She turned on him, grabbed a bit of lip in each very clawed paw, and bit him on the lip. He jerked his head back, both in a bit of pain and apparently with a bit of emotional hurt, too, and he turned and walked back to the middle of the barn. Ethyl went on about her rounds. Making rounds/going on walkabout is very important to barn cats, it seems.


Ethyl moved inside a very few weeks later and is currently lounging against my travel bag.

Off to drive 2 ish hours for work trip. I have to give a presentation today and I hate it with every piece of my hart....despise loath and can't stand..... I hate with all.the degrees of the sun standing in front of people and being stared at..... pray for me....

The standard advice to overcome fear of public speaking (glossophobia) is to imagine the attendees are all naked. Let us know how that goes

Me neither. Bought one - off gassed it, then repacked and regifted at Christmas with a few silicone accessories. Was well received.

I’m going back to all the threads and posts that I missed over the weekend.

Entirely too many for me to do the same for all I am missing during vacation. Sorry folks. In a perfect world I absolutely would, but current reality has limited resources.

To me, oats are for meatloaf and cookies. Maaaaybe granola. I will never eat cooked oats, porridge, gruel, or whatever one calls it, again. It's a childhood loathing thing.

I try to avoid oats as they tend to make my tummy ache.
No gluten sensitivity or celiac issues - just an unhappy tummy when I eat oats in about any form.

Toaster oven works, too.

Wat already made a rather firm "suggestion," more like "command!" The thing is, I have one with two steps but it's upstairs. I also have one that's a fold up, one step. It is in the garage. The chair was by the door.

Ugh - hate those! I like at least 15 minutes to get online and take a quick look at what came in since the previous day.

Wife is starting to get cranky. She’s not looking forward to this.

My advice - eye on the prize... post-surgical recovery

Do as many of the pre-surgical exercises as possible... you will need those muscles during recovery.
You get out of PT what you put in.

Also, when in recovery and needing to get out of bed those first few days.. slip your good leg under your surgical one to help lift and rotate out of bed.

Last bit of advice - ice. Lots and lots of ice.
It helps with pain between doses of pain meds. For me, it works better than the pain meds.

I've had both mine replaced. Each was its own experience. Feel free to DM with any questions. Not an expert by any means but happy to share what I experienced.

Same - but this new phone is a brick! I said that when I got my last phone... but this time I mean it??
Even my travel pants with two large pockets on either side aren't big enough for this monster.

Or focus on their shoulder instead of their face. From a distance, it still looks like good eye contact.

Hi all..

The presentation went okay. For the first time they actually asked me questions. Just waiting for time to pass I'm having a dinner at 5:30 so I'm laying on bed, watching TV and thinking about everybody else who is doing work.
