Thanks to Wonderer. This forum is amazingly vibrant and we do it with discussions about our everyday lives.Just under a year ago, our own @Wonderer67 started this wondererful thread and brought so many of us together here! Now, the thread is over 2K pages and over 50K posts! Thanks, W!
It's just a bit after 2300 on a mild but cold PNW night. It's been clear the past few days so our nights are pretty cold, just above freezing. But! No snow for us! And no wind! And, there's a beautiful waxing quarter moon up tonight!
Enjoy your Friday, everyone! We can see the weekend from here!ļø

A hundred years ago, before the invention of cell phones, I forgot to set my clock for the time change. I rocked up to work an hour early for my night shift.Since I was there already and the place was a zoo, I was put to work immediately!
The military and many hospitals also use the 24 hour clock.

I understand, but the body adapts to a warm climate. I laughted at my daughter. She lived here for years when I was still living up in PA. She would say how cold it was when she came up to visit. Now I understand. There was a good wind chill.Cold? 60s? Shoot i would have a picnic if it was 60.....
There were times I hated it for sure. There was something peaceful about a fresh snow.Do you miss moving the snow?![]()
What you posted was about as useful as many of the post. Who says the post have to be useful?Good morning prolific patrons of the 'elderly eatery', as we enter the third millennium of (mostly) pertinent posts. It makes me feel like I too should post something useful for once, but I can't think of anything so, never mind. It's the thought that counts!![]()
Itās a great movie if you like Manchester England. Punk music from Manchester. Post punk music from Manchester. Drug abuse from Manchester. For anyone wondering how to see this, it's available on Amazon Prime Video.

Funny how quickly our bodies acclimate to both warm and cold.I understand, but the body adapts to a warm climate. I laughted at my daughter. She lived here for years when I was still living up in PA. She would say how cold it was when she came up to visit. Now I understand. There was a good wind chill.
Iām just glad it was as easy as throwing a breaker to fix it.Home. Today did go more gooder. Gooderer. We have city inspections again tomorrow, so there's that. We'll see how it goes. We're still not checking our work well. In fact, it's still kinda poor. I went around the corner to have supper, and the property guy called to say that a unit had no heat, and that he was sorry he had called and not to worry about it. We have some older folks, and it's going to get chilly tonight, so after supper, I went back by. Girlfriend has a running heater now. Bonehead wire butchers didn't check their work and left the fucking breaker off. That was one of the newer existing units, so it didn't even get changed out. 100% wire butchers.
Wretched motherfuckers.
Anyway . . . .
