Cock Talk

I get all my news from Hustler.

So I saw this and, once I got past looking at her butt, I looked at the text.

Did people really “read” Hustler for incredibly serious topics like AIDS and murder?

I know the old joke about reading Playboy for the articles, but at least Playboy had some credibility as a place where real writers wrote articles, but Hustler? 🤔

I only looked at one Hustler in my life and it was incredibly graphic. We’re talking close-ups, cum, the whole shebang. I can’t imagine whacking off to that and then becoming engrossed in an AIDS story.

Has anyone ever said, “I was reading JUGS the other day and they brought up some good points about the Middle East”? 🤷‍♂️

I guess I don’t have any questions about this one, I’m just sort of flabbergasted.

I suppose people that read the National Inquirer or the New York Post would enjoy them
To your point about Playboy, they did have some great writers that published stories there. The movie A Christmas Story was based on a story by Jean Shepherd who also published his family short stories in Playboy. That is actually where I read his stories first.

I wonder if people in the future will refer to informative ideas they read in the Politics threads of Literotica?

We’re screwed! 🤣

Hustler was always the grossest one back then. Just gross. Like horror movie gross.

Sounds like a hot button issue for the times and it probably sold a few extra copies because of it.

Sex sells, but so does death.

I've never bought a sex mag for the articles, but I have been listening to podcasts about the history of them. Fascinating shit.

I really miss the old smut mag Gallery. Those were my kinda gals. I think they had Average Girl Next door contest. They looked like girls who worked breakfast crowd at Dennys.

Fun fact…it was founded by one of OJ’s attorneys, F Lee Bailey.

The first time I saw a vagina in all of its gory glory—brightly lit, close up, spread open.
It actually scared me. I felt panic, like, how am I ever going to be able to deal with that?”

I remember sitting on the edge of my bed having a real existential crisis about it, wondering “is she okay?”.

But then, something visceral happened, a tingle in my testes, I got hard and wanted to look again.

I opened it back up to that pic and never looked back.

Hustler was gross. But, I looked into the eyes of the beast and became a warrior! 😎

I'm stuck on the "Turning Your Sex Dreams Into Unforgettable Experiences."

My sex dreams are rarely actually about sex. Usually I'm doing something else in the dream and voila.

But. I very recently had a sex dream that did include, ah . . . physical details. Like, a lot of them. In lurid sensory detail.

*struggles not to add an embarrassed emoji*

The idea of the, err, scene depicted actually happening is too distracting for me to focus on things like AIDS and murder.

Larry did not die from the shooting. He did end up in a wheelchair though

I don't know it isn't appropriate to laugh at this, but I thought it was kinda funny. I did know that because I watched the film with Woody Harrelson. 😜 (He was interviewed on Larry King too.) I don't like "glorifying" men who get rich off of women who are paid pennies on the dollar, but a peek inside their heads to see what makes them tick is interesting.

First off, it is America's Magazine. Says so right at the top.

Fuck me, I didn't know there was an official magazine for America- and this is it?!

Never knew....I'm just so amazed. Wow. It's like just when you thought the world couldn't get any weirder, there it is.

I feel like this is probably the experience of most guys. I remember the first time I saw a vagina, I was bothered by its location. I assumed it was more like where a penis was. I thought the guy got on top to put his penis perpendicular to the floor. I thought it was just about 4” below the bellybutton.

So imagine my shock when I realized there was a much more significantly intricate bit of real estate and landscaping that went along with it.

However, I was oddly intrigued. Like you, I went back for more. Every vagina is beautiful in its own way.

Just kidding. Some are terrifying. Just like some penises are terrifying.

What makes good sexting?
Attraction to and curiosity about each other. Not necessarily physical attraction, as we might not know what the other person looks like, but an attraction to the way someone expresses an idea or answers a question. Shared interests and complementary writing styles. Being open to new ideas while respecting boundaries. Over time, a degree of trust can develop and create a connection that allows us to explore new desires and current boundaries.

Can orgasms through masturbation and sexting be better than those with an in-person partner?
In my experience, they can. If your in-person partner doesn't share your sexual interests, orgasms with a sexting partner who does can be more intense, in both a physical and a psychological sense.

Is sexting just a starting point in a textual relationship? You begin there, but move on to other kinds of communication as you become more open and comfortable?
I don't think it's "just" a starting point. Due to the nature of these relationships, with many people already having partners/families and the time zone differences that are often present, audio and video calls are the exception, not the rule. Exchanging written messages has always been the primary mode of communication in my experience.

When does it stop being sexting?
As a type of communication, I suppose it technically stops when communication moves to audio or video messages or live audio/video. Then I guess you'd call it cyber or e-boning or camming.

When @MedicalMuse answered this question, she said that it stops being sexting when feelings develop. I thought this was interesting, as I've never considered "sexting" as a way to describe a relationship. I've always thought of it as a type of communication. I think we still sext, even after feelings develop. And I know she might just have been making a joke, but it made me wonder how others see it.

Does anyone else still love online play which is just text, with no audios or pics or videos? Or would you always prefer sounds or images if you can have them?
I will always love exchanging text. I wouldn't want just audios or videos without the text. Part of that is practical (not always having privacy), but I also find writing to be a more... considered... form of communication. You have to type it out and hit send. Unless you're all high tech and use voice to text or some such thing. I also like being able to go back and reread an exchange when I have some alone time. That said, I'm a very visual person and a bit of an exhibitionist, so photos add a lot of sexiness for me. And hearing someone's voice can be far more powerful than simply reading their words.

I think it means more to me when we are past the point of a quick roll. The way I feel about someone makes the sexting deeper? If you can bring me your words in such a way that I can feel how much you care for me and lust after me at the same time? Heady stuff. When he describes kissing me? I can feel his lips and the thoroughness with which his mouth explores me. The way his fingers trail over my skin, knowing exactly what gives me goosebumps. It’s just more for me. Sexting is good. And I enjoyed it with every partner I’ve had, but the right one? Oh my.

Absolutely. 100%

Is it getting warm in here?

I completely get what you mean.

Rereading what I wrote, I can see that I misspoke when I said that you were using the term to describe a relationship. What I should have said is that I've never considered the meaning of the word "sexting" in the context of a relationship. My odd brain occasionally gets too focused on semantics and I find myself thinking, "Is there a better word for this type of communication in a situation where deeper feelings are involved? If not, should there be? I wonder what other people think." And I momentarily forget that they will probably just think that I'm a tad bit odd. 🙈

Thank you for seeing past that and sharing your thoughts so beautifully.

You’re not odd, you’re beautiful. You think differently from me and I absolutely love the perspective you give
