ineedhelp1 wants some right wing, anti-science, bigoted fascists to enact an anti-science, bigoted, fascist federal law that excludes a small demographic from the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in one of the simplest, but most important (imho) activities of living: Sports and competition.
An individual who was BORN different (genetically / psychologically NOT in the majority of the typical xx xy, cis identifying population) MUST have access to sports and competition, and they MUST be placed in a category that best suits their atypical genetic / physical and psychological makeup.
That ^ does NOT translate into: “men playing in women’s sports”.
Local communities and sports governing bodies SHOULD be the ones establishing the rules and guidelines for access to participation in the current sex based categories of competitive sports, or create new sex based categories that are comprehensive.
(creating comprehensive sex based categories would be a monumental challenge, which is why sports governing bodies have gone to hormone testing, etc, to decide placement for competition.)
