How can America have BROADLY SHARED prosperity once again?

I'll call bullsit, where it's deserved, BULLSHIT!
I remember telling my dad "We'll live to see the day that blue collar workers will earn more than white collar workers."
We both saw it proven true.
I'm not bragging, just stating the fact... I saw myself reach the top 7 percentile in U.S. wages as a merchant mariner, working 8 months per year... earning more than the average for Investment Bankers... I've seen the same for electricians, welders/fabricators, mechanics, and technicians of all sorts.
Large, 6 figure incomes with little to NO student debt.
Those are blue-collar jobs, in that they involve manual labor, but they're not low-skill jobs. Most working-class people will never be qualified to do them, not under any political system.

Nah, the USA was WAY more patriotic back then.
If we had broadly shared prosperity then without Communism, why can't we have it again?

N.B.: There will never be broadly shared prosperity in Libertopia, or in any society guided by social Darwinism.

We can, go back to the lack of government oppression.

And we just might be.

Why not? They've always given way to the best societies.......you have a preference for them, that's why you wouldn't fucking DARE move to a socialist shit hole and actually live the stupid you promote.

That's just a stupid lie.

No it's not.

We have more redundant bullshit that only exists to harass people and give Karencrats a paycheck than we know what to do with. DOGE is handling that though.

Social democracies do best of all. That is a patent fact.

No they don't, that's a leftoid lie.....and why Europe is shitting the bed as we speak.

They have no security, no economy, nothing but arrogance and fear of Russia they expect the USA to soothe for them while they look down their noses at us.

I can see why you like them so much, they're your kind of people....disgusting.

You're telling that to a high school dropout , chief engineer (not that it means, or is equivalent to an idiot, as you usually call me) who is also a licensed aircraft mechanic...
Just don't buy into the fairy tale that "equal opportunity" will EVER produce "equal results."

Exactly. If we want broadly shared prosperity, we need an economy in which the unskilled and unskillable majority can prosper. We need something more than "equal opportunity."

And we did have that, once. It was enough just to work hard -- not smart, but hard -- and one could earn a middle-class income.

A lot of people have a lack of drive and desire.
Send me someone, completely "green" to the boat, that has a little common sense, very basic hand skills, and a solid work ethic... I can teach them to run a boat in a year and they'll make a good, living wage while they're learning how...

...and despite my efforts, guess how many people I've brought into the industry in my 25 years of trying?

ZERO!

Maybe it's you.
Oh, for the record, I'm actually pretty easy to get along with, hence my success offshore, as that's a KEY factor when you spend a minimum of ⅔ of your time with people other than your family.
Maybe that's why I had 10-12 job offers a year, during the worst crash in the history of the offshore oil biz...

Free societies that allow people to flourish, do better than societies that hamper and shit all over the productive/successful people because envy fueled leftist chimp rage.
When you take government out of the picture, you don't get Libertopia. You don't get Galt's Gulch. What you get is Somalia.

May be... or, maybe many of the young men are like I was at their age, possessed by the "pussy monster" and unwilling to leave it behind to go offshore.
Why is there always a shortage of women at sea? Why aren't more of them part of ship's crews?

Follow me and watch what I do out here for a few days... You don't have to do anything, just keep up and watch, as I'm pretty sure that'll answer your question.
IOW, most women aren't "wired" to do shit that's akin to cheating death/dismemberment on a daily basis.

They join the Army, don't they?

Some people are born with it, some people have to have it "forced" upon them by "superiors."
I don't have any superiors... period!
If that sounds "cocky" to you, so be it, as I treat people EQUALLY, regardless of their position or status/circumstances... be it my Dr, lawyer or a junkie under the bridge, until I'm given cause (by themselves) to treat them any differently.

No woman in American history has ever been drafted into the Army.
GOOD!...
When the idea of drafting women started, I told my girls I'd lay down my own life to prevent it happening to them...
Now, I extend the same to my granddaughter.
