I’m surprised cut off jeans never made a comeback. It seems like every other style from the past has.
They seem very practical and a good way to get more mileage out of your old jeans.

Side note: do yourself a favor and search “cut off jeans” there are many, many, many super hot, sexy pics of women who cut their jeans so short they practically aren’t even there!

I think it's pretty much the same for women. I have a pair like this which I think looks good. They are hemmed though. Women pull off more looks than men though. It's just the way it is.

There is something very off putting about guys in short shorts. That’s what this whole topic was about.
Personally, I think it has something to do with the thighs. Too much guy thigh looks weird. I think board shorts are the appropriate look for dudes.

Ironically, for women I think the less clothing the better, the female body just looks great in skimpy clothing, but the male body just doesn’t—I realize I have a strong bias here, but it turns out I’m correct.

I do agree with you that nude is always better.

They weren't horrible. But they had some horrible designs that could never match anything. Not that most guys ever really try to do.

I literally have two general outfits:

Jeans, button down, sport coat, ll bean boots/dress shoes
Or
Cargo shorts, button down, sandals/ll bean boats

Done it for 30 years.
