The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I think perhaps the meaning of my remark was lost in translation. My slips are made from silk, satin, and lace providing a luxuriously comfortable experience.

I just thought your old gun might want to rest in that rather than the scratchy whatever-it-is your "gun slip" is made of! I'd be happy to donate an old one for your use. If given accurate measurements, I could probably fashion a bespoke solution for you! I'm very handsy, er... handy that way! Your very big, very old, not legal in the US gun could rest in comfort! 🤭🤭🤭
Ooooooh yes please it will be able to luxuriate in your soft satin and lace…. I will send measurements by DM @Lilianna23

Well, I been unsupervised for most of the morning while Mrs. Mitt did the taxes. Hence the second cup of coffee.

I dusted the living room from top to bottom. Not just the furniture but the walls, baseboards, paneling and crown molding too. I won't tackle another room today though. It made my allergies shift into overdrive.

Chicken pot pie tonight. Pie crust are thawing and the chicken was boiled yesterday. I made chicken enchiladas with half of it. Still a bunch left too.
OMG! A man who cleans and cooks! Your lucky, LUCKY wife! 💞🥰💞

The river here is up, also. There were flash flood warnings last week. Everything here is saturated. I heard from a friend who lives in the eastern part of the state that her septic tank is not working right because her yard is a swamp. Imagine that.
All we have is septic here. I'm so glad I don't have to worry about my yard swamping!

Today was my day to answer the phone. It started ringing at 6:15. Two hours and 15 minutes later, I had been through a mountain of stuff with a very good friend of fairly long duration. I had the usual morning catch up call with the landlady. Then another very good friend called with questions about what I thought about a situation his child is going through. Both were very long stories, too long to relate here, and too many personal details about them, but fortunately, in one case I had some personal experience. In the other, I knew who to ask.

I guess I was the person for the job.

Maybe it’s because I’m such a fucking warm person, liking sweaters and such….

🤣🤣🤣
Lucky people who can call you for advice! 💞✨💞

Damage from the emerald ash borer. This invasive insect has killed just about every ash tree in NJ. some estimates say that there are 48 million dead ass trees in New Jersey alone.

Although, I will say the patterns that they bore in between the wood and the bark are quite beautiful.

It is beautiful! Looks like the one in this tree was trying to leave a message!

So from this I get
1. Fierce when he needs to be...not afraid to use his claws to get a point across
2. Cuddly on his own terms
3. Very poodle-y in his own pasture
And
A. Can connect things together
B. Can be deep and twisted
C. Fun ( I almost said something else but grey would have been embarrassed
Oh, say it! PLEEEEEASE say it!! 🤣🤣🤣

We had a good and productive day.

Mrs wonderer and I split and stacked firewood. Then we went up into the woods to suspect all of our trails. A LOT of ash trees came down in the windstorm this last week. Also a few oaks.

Did some donuts with our ATV. It felt really nice and warm Altho it was only 38.

Then we cut out early and started a nice bonfire in our backyard - listened to some punk rock and drank some beer.

Tonite on MeTV is “War of the Gargantuas” one of the worst/best Japanese monster movies ever made.

Sounds like a wondererful day, W! 💞✨💞

I've been poking around the Lit ORP forums. I wanted to give it a look-see. I like RPGs and the like and doing it in an adult setting as writing instead of real-time sounded fun.

I read the posting rules. Clicked on the links for tips and tricks. Read a couple of short examples. Perused the abbreviated lingo. I was ready to search for a thread to jump into.

Yeah, right.

I clicked on a thread description that mentioned a D&D type story and it was so intimidating. These peoples' story read like a Robert Jordan epic novel. Each and every contributor sounded like a Rhodes Scholar.

To be fair though, what a story! I'm going back to read it till the end. It was so good. But i felt like buffoon that had just stumbled onto a drawer of sharp knives. I had no business picking one up.

Anyone else pokes their heads into those ongoing story's? What was your impression?
I haven't really poked around in other forums. I really haven't had the time. I do love good stories, tho!

Making memories is so good. Hugs to you both.

It's Lit, but not as you know it. A bar, cafe, hangout space for ageing souls in search of the warmth of human kindness. No political or religious talk or the management will take you outside and show you the error of your ways. And if you try to hit on the ladies here...
First page sums it up, last 20 or so should give you a feel for the place. If you like it, welcome. If it's not your cup of coffee, good luck in your wanderings.
Good job! 👏 👏
