The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

She better watch out ....mamas don't play about their babies.....

The landlady told me that she fed them all together this morning. Of course, the baby is not weaned yet, so she knows where she eats. The other children kind of did their thing in their slightly different space. Nobody is eating in the feed room anymore, so that’s probably for the best. The horses minded their own business. All was reported as being well.

Favorite article of clothing? This changes from time to time, depending, but it’s a tie between a pair of Lucchese boots and a waxed cotton coat that has gotten a lot of use this winter!

My contractor that came over two nights ago and gave us an estimate to clean the rubble from under mommas house…well…got a call from his daughter yesterday with the estimate. All good except when he left her house that night, he was rear ended and spent the night in the hospital! 😲😖. He’s Ok but they wont be able to get to us til next weekend.

Are we in Mercury Retrograde?

OlderMOm…I’m so sorry to see you go. You were infectious in all your posts. Thanks for all you did for Lili and others on here as our reliable go-between. You will be missed dearly. I hope you come back at some point. Here’s to fair skies and tailwinds. 😘

Cold, sunny, spring no where in sight. I thought I could mind meld spring to come but the furry little rodent’s powers seem to be strong! Another dose of spring MZ…

You have damned fine taste in boots, sir.

I am a big fan of a merino wool sweater. Soft and warm. I like Wrangler carpenter jeans. I like flannel shirts. I wear dress shirts in the summer. I wear hiking boots to work. A T-shirt and a ratty old pair of jeans when I’m working on the farm. I think that covers it.

Yes I have two pairs that I alternate to let the leather dry and recover. It’s hard terrain in tough weather and these have saved many a broken ankle. I have had 7 seasons out of one pair and still going strong properly looked after. I used to use Georgia Boots from the Us but couldn’t get them so these are my alternative.

Four out of five wood bins were empty this morning. I have a big sign, and I don’t know why people don’t just buy a cord or a half cord - it’s a bit less expensive, but I guess they don’t have the room.

I drank too much coffee this morning and not enough water and I’m also a bit dehydrated. I felt a little bit lightheaded, so I drank a boatload of water.

Off to split wood and sharpen the chain on my chainsaw. It’s so nice out!!!

I am still partial to my redwing boots. They are guaranteed except for typical wear and tear. I find them to be a superior quality.

Here is the size 877 that they have in the factory store. Plus the wall of fame which was bad ass!

The welted sole is the big plus for me. Vibram doesn’t work as I have foot injuries from karate so I need something that doesnt flex; these would be good!

You have to be able to haul it too! Do you deliver?

I am going to take a WAG that you have a wood splitter.
