Not so much stud as possibly broken and/or stupid. I haven't worn a coat in almost 2 years.

Yeah... I bought my Honda in January of 2011... spent a few months fixing the stuff that needed attention, then rode it daily for a couple years here. Honestly, the summer riding was far more brutal than the winter riding.

I hated riding in the summer in OK. It was like driving through a hot sand blaster/furnace. 110* is hot, no matter how fast the air is moving. And I wore a full faced helmet, not just a brain bucket, so it was brutal in there.

yeah, thats really the issue, we also have the WORST power grid in the entire nation because texas is the only state not federally regulated. when the power was out for 4 days in 20 degree temps and 9 inches of snow 4 years ago, it was miserable. we also got charged over $600 that month when the normal bill is $300. im sure this months bill will be stupid too even though the heater was off for a week and it was 85 last week.

Me too, full face helmet. But anytime the air temp outside is hotter than your body temp, it will increase your body temp the more skin you show. I used an evaporation vest soaked with water before I left work. As the water evaporates, it cools you off. Works pretty good. All except the f-ing heart attack I almost would have putting that freezing ass cold thing on before I was outside.

I got to the point, the heat was too much, and frankly the terror of the idiot drivers here made me just not enjoy riding in the city anymore. And my bike needs a new seal around the shifter arm, so I used that as an excuse. Probably more accurate to say I just lost my nerve to ride here.

I've already had my accident. Bike was totaled, but I walked away. Had 2 Yamaha V-Star cruisers and a Honda Shadow. The 1300 V-Star was probably the smoothest machine I've ever driven. I didn't lose my nerve, I was told in no uncertain terms that the bike had to go.

Dig this… I bought a beautiful purple guitar weeks ago, I have upgraded the pickups to the ones I love, but it still needed an adjustment, but I could not find the right tool. I found one tonight, made the adjustment, tested out the new pickups… she sounds so cool. I look forward to letting her sing in a few days when the neck tension is normalized and happy again.

So excited! Because… I needed a purple guitar! You all know it’s true!

it means tarantino is one of my favorite directors and made some of my favorite movies...pulp fiction and kill bill and was involved in countless others. the man wrote from dusk til dawn, hired his friend to direct it, wrote in a scene where a man drinks tequila off a strippers foot, hired selma hayek to be the stripper and then cast himself as the man (he has a foot fetish)...the man is a genius.

You wonderful Brats and Brat appreciators… thank you for indulging my guitar nerdliness.

This is my beautiful purple, semi-hollowbody guitar I upgraded with my favorite pickups. And… she is so cool, and sounds sooo good! My fingers hurt from playing her too much. But here is the reality of guitars. They are like humans, you are too hot? So is the guitar. You are too cold? So is the guitar. And if someone makes adjustments? They are appreciated, but… it takes a few days to adjust and deal with the changes.

So the net result is, my delighted, overly aggressive playing would throw her out of tune before the first song is finished. But, before my aggressive string bends throw her out of tune, she sounds sooo good!!!
