I pay maybe way too much attention to the lyrics of songs. I can really over-analyze them or associate them to certain people or situations quite often. Few things actually make me cry, but there have been certain songs with specific lyrics that have spoken to me profoundly.

The melody paired with the lyrics is important to me. But, where the melody tends to speak to me more strongly are the songs that I can mentally choreograph a dance to. Not every song speaks to me in such a way. When they do, they become a frequently listened to song though.

There are some songs that I understood the lyrics to even as a little kid. Like "Cats In The Cradle". And yeah... I can cry at about anything. Not a challenge. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Especially songs. Music is kind of my connection to the world.

Right? I totally get that. Really good lyrics, with really good music? That is magical to me. Probably why I don't listen to modern music. They might have powerful lyrics, and a fun rhythm, but the rest of the music backing it sounds like it was made on a 20 year old casio keyboard bought at walmart.... to me.

Oh don't worry. I'm not down. I accept that this is me. Good or bad, pretty or ugly, smart or dumb. This is me today, and I'm so much happier now than I was two years ago, or four years ago, or six years ago.... I just decided I'm not gonna worry about what other people think anymore. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Right? I totally get that. Really good lyrics, with really good music? That is magical to me. Probably why I don't listen to modern music. Don't worry. Music is my connection to the world too.
It's the only way I can express emotion accurately, IMO anyways
I also use it as therapy. 😘 😘 😘
