Four days isn't long for a story to be sitting. Also, Laurel doesn't control who posts comments - readers post comments. Some can post immediately, but for others there's a wait.

...that it's the end of a major contest that had 140 entries, which Laurel was busy with? On top of the usual deluge of submissions? That a holiday weekend is in the offing, for which she might have RL plans? That, as many of us can attest, 4 days isn't all that long to wait for a story to post, historically?

Take your pick. You can draw any conclusion you wish, but if you're hopelessly biased toward one wild scenario over all others, you shouldn't be surprised when the rest of us have no clue what you're posting about.

I'm not even sure why anyone would care about anything blackrandi said to them, frankly. I feel like I showed up in the middle of a drama that only you saw the first part of.

I’ve had a story pending since Jan 25, just sitting there, and have sent Laurel 2 PMs about it. No response. I know there are 2 contests/challenges going on now. Not sure what to do next, though there is some solace in thinking about all those refugees in “Casablanca” who are just “waiting . . . waiting . . . waiting.” Their friggin’ lives were at stake, not just some porn story! It hasn’t dawned on me to concoct conspiracy theories, however.

Laurel and Manu Retired 2 years ago and are now living in Florida. They were early adopters of an AI Agent as a productivity tool to run the site. Have you considered taking a course in prompt engineering? The way you ask is important to the response you get.

Those of us in the know know that Laurel has gotten caught up in a bizarre chain of events involving an underground society of hyper-intelligent pigeons. It all started when they fed a particularly smug-looking pigeon at the park, only to find a tiny USB drive tied to its leg. Curiosity got the best of her, and next thing you know, Laurel was deep in a hidden network of avian operatives who apparently control far more of the internet than we ever realized. I hope and pray that the bird flu doesn’t harm the operation.
