Yes, but always good to have that 3rd friend in the bunch... the responsible one that will hold onto the bail, take your call, and get you out in a reasonable amount of time.

All kidding aside, we have a lot of ways to describe the snow we get. Even then it's still white shit.

Few photos for the day. I think this means it's time to shovel the roof.



When the sun went down, the moon was bright enough for a shadow selfie. This is the snow that still needs to come off the roof.


And when we quit for the night, we took a ride to the back of the property. It a few degrees below zero out there now. With maybe 36" of snow pack on the ground.


Did I mention I'm allergic to cold ...

I live in Virginia now. Its crowded. While the county/state plows are pretty good at what they do, compared to Jersey and PA where it really does snow some. The local neighborhood stuff is the same dudes that cut the grass and blow leaves all over. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac. They have left 6 foot piles blocking multiple driveways and drive away if you ask when you will be able to leave your home. One year we called 911 and asked what will the ambulance do if it cannot get to our property. They could not answer. Persistent we called a few more times and when they finally offered a legal threat we threatened "bring it" held the phone away and yelled a little louder "bring it". Eventually a cruiser did show up. Left before speaking to anyone and a bobcat front loader showed up. I hope to never have to go through that again. I was new at my job, 2013 and got a week off work. I refused to ride the bus.
I still dig out all 3 fire hydrants on my block and the mailboxes I use. Neighbors and good friends too.

I remember when you as a kid shoveling the entire walk which was right next to the road.

Totally covered up the whole sidewalk with wet, heavy snow!

I hated that when I lived in NJ. I was already in my 30's. I simply could not believe wet mushy snow could be a solid. Took forever to figure out how to move it without hurting myself.
Now I like snow. But when we get it it usually melts the next day.

There's a tag on the side of the pump. Most is 10% ethanol any more. Think about it - ethanol and gasoline really don't mix, and ethanol attracts water. You have a boat. Maybe boat gas doesn't have ethanol in it - it shouldn't. You're a Comely wench, so ask the dumb guy standing there what's what. He'll fall all over himself telling you.


But seriously, read the tags on the pump, too.

I will! I never thought about gas. It is just something that makes stuff go. I think we do use regular gas in the boat. It has an outboard motor. IDK if that makes any difference.
