So I got all cultured today. One of my wife’s customers is an art museum, and because she’s on the inside, she got invited to some string Quartet opening.

I went sort of kicking and screaming.

It turned out pretty cool. It was only an hour and a half and the music wasn’t half bad. It wasn’t half good either! But I did get a couple chuckles, because the music sounded exactly like you’d hear in a Warner Brothers cartoon!

I guess something you don’t do every day… at least not me. I’d rather hear the punk rock.

Our SBowl spread is spinach and artichoke dip, honey BBQ chicken wings, cookies, chips and chicken and dumplings. We do our dumplings the easy way. I cut flour tortillas into long strips.

That with Myers and Coke with a splash of Rumple Minze. Just waiting for kick off.

Off to Hartford for a couple days of work in the morning. Unfortunately, it’s supposed to snow Wednesday afternoon when I’m coming home.

Something is telling me I will be making it a four-day trip instead of a three day trip…

I have never done this, but I sure have rail headed tanks onto railroad cars many times. One of the most nerve-racking and worst things I can ever remember doing in the army.

We did, however, load them onto ginormous ships for transport to Saudi Arabia.

Railhead the tanks, is a nerve-racking thing. As you can see, about 20% of the track on either side is off the side of the rail car. No room for error.

Yes, but remember the more you feed/water the more they need to go out. Circular argument... but needed. Unless robotic, I would never advise against feed/water for animals.

Lucky miss! I had a buck with huge antlers jump onto the freeway in front of me as I was coming down the mountain pass. Thankfully, I just saw it out of the corner of my eye and the fwy wasn't busy. I was able to slam on the brakes of the truck. I could have almost touched him, it was that close!

So glad everyone with these near misses is okay.

Duct tape is an awesome tool... but best to have something between it and your skin whenever possible. So, cover with appropriate bandage and then a shirt or pants before wrapping the duct tape around yourself.

I grew up in a home where father did as much house work as mom. I assumed that was the way to do things until I went to college. There I learned I was a minority. All my wives and girl friends however showed me their appreciation

Right? We were raised doing assigned chores - all of us kids, not just the girls. All my siblings do the same with their kids... and share the chores with their spouses.

I spent some time last night looking at and laughing about pictures my mother saved. I am going to take to my sister so we can both have a good laugh.

Unless you take a lot of pics and videos you don’t need the 512. They even make terabyte phones now which is crazy.

I actually work for a cell company call center. I have only ever had 2 people want the terabyte iPhone! One lady had 14 grandkids and her phone was full of pictures and videos. Lol

I always buy the most memory I can afford and check for options for internal storage and buy the largest storage card the device will take.

Seriously peeved at the direction to not include options for internal storage on cell phones, etc. anymore. Many apps take a lot of memory... and so many companies are offering content via apps now!

What kind of gas is at gas stations? Is it not 100% gasoline?

Most all gas today has some ethanol mixed in. Mostly at 10% for 87 octane through 90 octane. There is Unleaded 88 now for cars built after ‘01 that has 15% ethanol and something called E85 that has up to 85% for Flex vehicles. The ethanol is corn and the gubment pays a lot of subsidies to farmers so you see the Unleaded 88 a lot in the Midwest or so I’m told.

The ethanol gas turns to sugar (that’s what we say around these parts anyhow) if it sits too long. That’s what gums up small engines as they don’t get used as much or sit up over the winter. It’s getting easier to find but you can find gas with no ethanol in it. Like back in the old days….Hi Test or Low Test! . The non-ethanol gas is what you want to use on your small engines.

Even with cars, lots advise to take a 30 min Sunday drive on the Interstate once a week. Highest MPH helps blow the cobwebs out (or dissolve the sugar???)

I can confirm... Midwest is lousy with what I consider misleading labeling at the pumps.
You would think only the 2 pumps to the left have ethanol since they're clearly labeled as Ethanol fuel.
