The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Oh, you poor thing! Take care of your flu. Rest and drink lots of fluids. Warm ones are good for moving that snot up and out. If you can, get yourself to a provider to get an antiviral like Tamiflu.

As for your cut, keep the area clean and put a dressing over it. You may need some butterfly bandages to close it. If do, approximate the edges before you apply.
Yep

Right hip/upper butt cheek.
Testosterone.
Yes, I skipped the epoxy.
While I figure my skin could have taken it, I didn't want it to attack the 6 month "time release" pellets and "overdose" me (if possible).
I thank you soooo much for your input....

As icing on the cake, I caught a raging flu upon arrival... it got hellish yesterday and tonight.
Hence my absence.
Feel better, bud!

Lucky miss! I had a buck with huge antlers jump onto the freeway in front of me as I was coming down the mountain pass. Thankfully, I just saw it out of the corner of my eye and the fwy wasn't busy. I was able to slam on the brakes of the truck. I could have almost touched him, it was that close! 😱😱
Mrs wonderer was with me (she came to work w me Friday) and she said there might’ve been one air molecule between us and the deer!

Glad you didn’t have a hit. That’s all anyone of us need.

There's a tag on the side of the pump. Most is 10% ethanol any more. Think about it - ethanol and gasoline really don't mix, and ethanol attracts water. You have a boat. Maybe boat gas doesn't have ethanol in it - it shouldn't. You're a Comely wench, so ask the dumb guy standing there what's what. He'll fall all over himself telling you.

But seriously, read the tags on the pump, too.
The ethanol really gums up the carburetors on small engines: lawn mowers, chain saws, etc.

I seem to get around it by starting everything once a month whether that needs it or not. I’ve not had too much trouble in recent years. Knocks wood.

What kind of gas is at gas stations? Is it not 100% gasoline?
Most all gas today has some ethanol mixed in. Mostly at 10% for 87 octane through 90 octane. There is Unleaded 88 now for cars built after ‘01 that has 15% ethanol and something called E85 that has up to 85% for Flex vehicles. The ethanol is corn and the gubment pays a lot of subsidies to farmers so you see the Unleaded 88 a lot in the Midwest or so I’m told.

The ethanol gas turns to sugar (that’s what we say around these parts anyhow) if it sits too long. That’s what gums up small engines as they don’t get used as much or sit up over the winter. It’s getting easier to find but you can find gas with no ethanol in it. Like back in the old days….Hi Test or Low Test! 🤣. The non-ethanol gas is what you want to use on your small engines.

There is a gal on the UToob that has a good rundown of fuel additives. She uses some science and black magic, but bottom line she claims most of those are hocus pocus and only maybe two actually do what they say! I’ll look for the link when I get the chance and post. *Found her!

I also second the Honda mowers. we’ve had one now for 3 or 4 years. Only run non-ethanol gas in it, it cranks on first or second pull after sitting up for the winter, and it sips fuel. Like, I can get 2 full yard mowings per tank. I’ve never had a mower that I didn’t. have to fill up at least once during a mow. Heard good things about the Toro’s but I think they have Briggs&Stratton engines?

Enjoy the big game today. Since half the tribe is sick, just immediate fam is watching so I’m going to do Cowboy Ken’ts Chili Colorado today. I think I posted the link for it here, but didn’t get a chance to make it last time. Finally…the MZ…
