I’m usually more of a brunch person and I have a low sugar protein shake. If it’s a day I’m in the office and I had a shake earlier than normal, I’ll eat a lighter lunch - sushi, poke bowl, fruit, salad, hummus, etc.

Except on the days when they have my favorite goat cheese and tomato basil sauce dip. Then I eat ALL the calories ❤️

I don’t have any hard restrictions on what I do and don’t eat. I want to feel good though, so I generally avoid foods that are greasy or high in sugar as they often make me feel sick. I also focus on eating enough protein and drinking enough water.

I try to exercise regularly. I tend to be all or none though. So I’ll have periods where for whatever reason (surgery, illness, schedule, etc.) I’m not exercising much and periods where I’m happily exercising daily for months without missing a workout.

What breathing exercises do you do?
Marathon. I’ve successfully kept up with constant breathing for 40+ years.

Do you get enough sleep?
No, but it’s something I’ve been working on for the last year!

Nope, but I have tried acupressure and it’s amazing. I almost feel like it can be medative.

Multivitamin with greens, extra calcium and vitamin D, black cohosh (has really helped with the side effects of having an ovary removed last year), and magnesium (at bedtime to help with sleep.)

I wake up at 5 am and make a protien shake with a frozen banana or frozen strawberries and milk. And when I get to work I drink coffee. Lots and lots of water.

This can change if I am meal prepping. Sometimes I make breakfast sandwiches.

It changes. Sometimes a sandwich, stir fry or pasta. Again, meal prep is important.

A smoothie. Type varies, but if I wake up cranky, usually banana, strawberries, cocoa, peanut butter, jersey milk, and hemp seed. 😂

These days I try for protein. I'm trying to up consumption.

Healthy on the whole. I'm gluten intolerant, so that cuts out of lot of easy, temptation foods. I haven't had fast food in a decade. I do have a bit of a sugar and theobromine problem. Stress has me hitting the dark chocolate.

I exercise. Like @LadyLascivious1 it's all in or nothing. More often in. Weight classes, yoga, running, and some dance. I like to find events to train for, things with a quirky twist. Having an end goal really works for me.

I have. And should be. It's best when I do daily in the morning. My routines became very derailed for, well, reasons. Getting back on track is a priority, but it takes me time to reset the habits.

Hey thank you, HW! It’s a nice little thread and anyone is welcomed to join. I’ve learned a lot and been motivated when I needed a boost. I’ve also been very very lazy for long stretches of time, and that’s great too! Thanks again for the shout out. :)

I am not very hungry in the morning. I have coffee, and then around 11ish, if I’m at work, I bring one of these protein drinks, or I have a yogurt with granola in it.

What do you eat for lunch?
If I’m at work, I have been pretty good about bringing some sort of salad that I make on Sundays so I can just grab one and go as I run out the door. Lately it’s spinach, strawberry, goat cheese, candied pecans, and then I bring a raspberry vinaigrette to add to it later. Or other times I make one of those tabouli kits and add tomato and cucumber and sometimes chickpeas to it.

I’m a healthy eater during the week at work. And I do ok for dinner. Because I can plan ahead. And I’ve cut way way back on alcohol. I went into a big dip there for a while, and honestly did a couple things that were not my best moments. And I found I just really slept better if I didn’t drink. I still enjoy a drink every now and again.
The problem is when I have unstructured time. My discipline goes out the window over the weekend.

I’m all over the place here. Sometimes I do great. I run, I do body pump, I have personal trainers, I am at the gym a lot. Other times, I do nothing and I just tell myself negative things instead. Recently, I adopted a 3 year old shepherd and he and I are walking. I’m up and out by 6 and walking each morning, even in the ice, and you know that wouldn’t have happened without him. He’s really helped me get back out there.
What breathing exercises do you do?
When I run, it helps to distract me and manage my workout if I breathe in for two steps and out for four. That’s the only time (other than Lamaze :)) that I did breathing exercises.

Does anyone get enough sleep? I’m not a good sleeper. Even when I go to bed early, I don’t stay asleep. I’m restless. I walk and talk in my sleep. Fun at sleepovers!
