The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Based on my (quite colorful and pretty poor) experience with one of those green ones, don't.

Just . . . don't.
Greene as in John deere Green? I looked at a couple studies and the 2 they recommend are a Honda one and a toro..... about 800 for each.... they talked about all kinds of stuff .... I am still looking. My yard is relatively flat and bumpy at the same time....hahahaha... has nooks and crannies....

800 dollars..gheesh

She was not on anti-b’s. Since it’s just the flu, Tamiflu and OTC. Thanks for all this info.

Oh…the baby is 19months old…
The baby could have gotten from anywhere. Does she go to daycare church grocery etc..... and 19 month old babies touch everything and it goes straight in to their mouth

C diff spores can live for months or even years on surfaces

I'm on strike from adulting today. ...after I do this load of laundry, clean up around here and take care of the dog....ok and grocery shop BUT AFTER THAT I'm not doing nothing. Nope.
Sounds like me..... I need to fold laundry, vacumn, dust furniture, take out the garbage, hang pictures, sand q barn door, do dishes....etc etc and I am doing nothing

Busy a few days.

Coming home from work last night I don’t know how I missed the deer that jumped out in front of me, but somehow I did. Whew.

For 10 years or so, I watched my daughter play grade school, high school, club and college volleyball. Now she is coaching, and I watched her coach her team to two victories and one loss.

Fun day!

Now out to split some firewood before the snow starts.

We just got a toro self propelled at Home Depot I think. My old one ran forever before it finally died. I probably got 15 years out of it, and I ran it hard, and was maintaining three yards.

This one runs really well too.
My old one was a Toro. It isn't a bad mower it's just too hard to push. I'm going to give it away to someone that has teenagers or a smaller yard.

OMG, Likes! You were so lucky not to be badly burned or worse! And now I'm freaking out a little bit because I HAVE one of these trees! 😱😱 It’s really old; I inherited it from my MIL. It's part of my very elaborate Christmas village! 🤯
This was a one-off. My mom had loads of these types of plug-in nick-nacks and not one of them over the course of decades ever had an issue except that one.

I vaguely recall my parents later looking at what was left. My guess? There was a crack in the plastic plug or faulty wires and it wasn't noticed until then.

If you're concerned about the cords on older items, look into getting the entire cord replaced.

Yes. I was given a 1-season and ethanol gas carb - which I replaced and got it going again - as a cast-off. It never did quite run to suit me and I always had something to fiddle with on it. One year not too long ago, I declared it a piece of shit and put it out at the alley and went to Lowe's and bought the cheapest mower possible, and that was $300. I have a small yard here Back East. The JD disappeared opernight and good damn riddance, too. The cheap mower starts every year by the 3rd pull.

I have never heard any negatives on little Honda engines.

Do not, if humanly possible run ethanol gasoline in your small engine. Find somewhere in the country that sells 100% gasoline. The ethanol turns to sludge in the gas lines and fucks up the works. Even with 100% gas, run it out before winter storage, just to be safe.

I have one of those ceramic Christmas trees. My great aunt made it when she had her ceramics shop long ago. When she made the one we have now, each tree branch was drilled out so as to fit a small crystal or clear plastic. The base was set up to hold a light socket and when a light bulb was turned on inside the tree, the crystals on the branch ends would shine to imitate tiny candles. I believe our tree was three sections, top and bottom and the base was the third piece. She glazed it in a pearlescent white gloss color with blue and pink accents.

It's really quite pretty and when we had our house in Georgia, there was a tiny alcove above the entrance to our kitchen from our living room. It had an electrical outlet in it as well. When we bought the house the realtor apologized for the feature saying that was an eye sore. I knew then exactly what was going in that alcove.

When we would open the front door during Christmas time, the little alcove was lit up prominently with that lovely little tree each year.
