Us Canadians keep hearing Trump begging us to join the Union, which is nothing new, it's been going on since the birth of the US.

Each and every-time, including a couple wars, Canada has said no. Perhaps it's time for Canada to reach out the Olive Branch to the US states to join us?

Single payer healthcare, vast resources, a wide choice of main stream political parties. Longer average life spans, worldwide respect as a Country.

A lot of reason that would make sense to those now disenfranchised states such as California and New York etc.

I have changed my mind on this, in as that I want Canada in the Union - whether as a single entity state or all of its 10 provinces given autonomy as states themselves!
Either way, even with the rise of Poilievre, I will take my chances with the almost instantaneous additions to our Senate and House that comes with being a state in our union that Canada would tip the congressional majority in favor of the Dems.

Assuming Canada did agree to join, it would be as 10 states and 3 territories, along with all the current government programs. Which would mean 20 Senate seats, and I'm honestly not sure how the House seats would be sorted out, but a fair portion of those as well.

This would cause major changes to the US. No longer would there be only two mainstream parties. That would change to four, or even five. Just on that alone, the make up of US politics would swing so much, people like ican't, and bobo, and wrongway would be crushed.

A list of what would change could fill a novel. However in the latest polls show around 90% of Canadians are against the idea of joining. Which now gives a problem to Poilievre, and the policies he's running on, since they mimic Trumps. With the distaste Canadians now feel towards Trump, he is becoming hollow. Perhaps Harper will step back up to the plate. I'd support his policies, but I'm not voting for any of Poilievre's.

If California, Oregon and Washington state all joined Canada; Canada would leap frog to #2 in the G7 GDP. The US would still be #1, however it would drop to only 20 Trillion.

Frankly speaking, eastern Oregon should be a part of Greater Idaho. Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern California should be four separate states (abandon the SF Bay Area and LA County to be the original California).

Canada's dissatisfied provinces can join the Union. Experience private health care (pay for it, or don't get sick by living healthful), firearms (Constitutional Carry in 36/50 states), and William Shatner (and countless other Canadians who naturalized as American citizens).

The biggest Canadian contribution may be to the Electoral College for the (D)emon-rat party.
