There's mineral wealth -- but by now we're a spacefaring civilization, and it's cheaper to mine asteroids than a planet with a gravity well. We could enslave the people, but it's inconvenient to have a slave who needs his own special supplies of air and food.

In the end, the only thing of value these ETs have for us is their art, for which there would soon be a fad on Earth.
