What’s your most controversial opinion?

Stanley Kubrick was good. But he wasn't that good. There are plenty of directors who match and even proceed him in quality.

Personally, I wouldn't date a single mother, but I wouldn't judge another guy who does.
It's not really an opinion then, but a personal preference. (I also know you're not alone, I've met many like that - even lived with one as I don't have kids.)

Soap to cast iron? Exactly what I've been NOT to do, and if it soap is really needed, then you really need to season it with oil again. (Similarly with carbon steel, unlike with stainless steel.)

Are we even talking about the same type of pan really??? Uncoated cast iron?
You can use soap on cast iron. It is perfectly fine. Look at Lodge cast iron instructions. Just not Lye.

Spam (The canned meat product) isn't all that bad. Compared to bacon and eggs, spam and eggs would do in a pinch!
Never tried it. It’s not a thing here. Not particularly interested either. Much the same as … fuck what are they called. They’re in movies all the time particularly about surviving an apocalypse. Like stupidly long shelf life 🤦🏽‍♀️
It’s weird when people start a sentence “I’ll be honest…”

Does that mean it’s such a rarity that it has to be announced?
Yes!
I tend to see this in a similar vein as the phrase "no offence, but"...

That it's a heads-up that their honesty is likely to hurt. Just as their words are about to offend. So, it's not that they're not usually honest, but that they normally put more tact into their words.

Or maybe I'm just naive. 🤷🤓
I tell my kids that anything preceding a ‘but’ is null and void.
Not a butt pervs 🤣

Now for mine.

Anytime I hear someone saying that ‘kids today are so disrespectful’ or similar I will tell them that you only need to join your local community Facebook group and see the behaviour of the parents of said kids 🎤
Lindi!!! One more time for the people in the back PLEASE!!! 👏👏👏
