I am maybe not making myself clear.

I currently work for a consulting company. I get assigned to projects. The project I had was with Microsoft. The consulting company are currently looking for another project for me and found one, but have to siubmit me and the client has to approve of me...they might take another person instead, supposedly they are submitting 1-3 ppl for it. Its sort of a contract base, sort of not...basically if you are on a project, yer working, and the projects are generally 6 mo to a year. The one I am being submitted to would go until June 30 but possibly longer. If not working, yer on "their bench" and they can try to find something for you...which may or may not work out obviously. My project for MS is ending and so thats why the need for a new position. The assignment I was/is on had major issues from the start, not only for me, but all I truly care about was how it affected me obviously...so yeah a "flag in my file" and major hesitation from me for working with the consulting company again because maybe Im on thin ice or theres a stigma about me or whatever.
Never had an issue at PwC or Intel or Amazon as a point of refrerence, though Amazon did end my contract way early (as I said, they finished their need of me...they had me write up this massive report of ideas and suggestions moving forward, then said ok thanks and bye).

The gig I am likely taking, a recruiter reached out to me many moons ago. Had the interviews over the course of a few months. So I am then going to be placed with a big company and basically be a consultant for them. As for them giving me a laptop or not, I dont know actually, but yes it sort of seems odd to me and its basically "based on the assignment". The recruiter wasnt sure if a yes or no. So if my project/assignment is "Verizon" as an example then sure, theyd likely give me one, and if its a small company, then its a maybe to no. I heard its a medium sized logistics company, nothing super sexy to my knowledge. While I personally think thats really weird/sketch to not provide a simple $500-800 laptop, the company is HUGE so maybe its because I am a consultant, or maybe because I'm new, or maybe because its me being a contractor, that part I dont know. Or maybe Ill actually get one. I did ask about them checking my laptop for keystrokes etc because I want to listen to spotify or check my bank account etc and supposedly its just a yubikey thing that allows me access to the company apps and whatever. So yes I could buy a second laptop but that seems...annoying as well.
99% of all contractors I have messaged and know all do NOT get benefits in terms of vacation. You get sick time by law. Sometimes they offer a few days vacation (this one does not seem to currently, but I was a contractor while at PwC and did get five days vacation). There is of course medical and 401k types of options.

Hope that clarifies some?

So both jobs are consultant jobs (jobber) but your current job had large cap companies, and your potential job has smaller clients, do I have that right?

I guess in either case you still have to do a financial and projected growth check on the consulting company that is actually hiring you and your potential clients. Almost like when you purchase a stock. The job market seems to be softening a bit, and many times consultants are first to feel the consequences.

As far as big vs medium size clients, their staffing levels entirely depend on their market segment and demand for a specialized skill set. Sometimes big client companies over hire and may need to trim staff. Sometimes small companies may be starting a new project and need to hire, or conversely, have budget problems and need to trim staff. In either case, it’s more cost effective to target contract employees, that’s why it’s important to delve into the company’s financials.

From the details you’ve provided, sounds like your skill set is probably in demand, so probably not a worry there. Big and small clients have their advantages and disadvantages. Just do your research. If it’s a nationally known consulting company (Accenture, KPMG, IBM, Deloitte) you probably don’t have to worry.

This potential new job has plenty of huge names. It so happens the project they are assigning me is likely not as big name...though to be fair, theres only a dozen companies that could be in the same sentence as Microsoft in terms of size and scope. And also to be fair, its not super awesome working with Microsoft. They do some stuff that makes very little sense that other companies do far better. Amazon also did some stuff way wonky. For example, instead of using MS word or excel, or even google docs and sheets etc, Amazon uses something called Quip...because why use a de facto standard that basically works extremely well when they can make it themselves?!

As for consulting company...again, this is not finance. Im doing tech. So the big accounting firms are not relevant here. And its not a consulting company. Its a company that makes software and tech etc but most every company uses their software or tech in some fashion (like microsoft, or salesforce, oracle, adobe, apple, google, nvidia, and so on) and ill be working for that company helping the smaller company for this first project.

I do indeed!
That's really got me thinking. It would be an honor to sit and rub yor feet and hear about your day. Plus you lean alpha and feet really bring out my subbie side 😁. the women I've experienced have really been judgemental about my attraction to feet. They like the massages, but don't like anything else I like to do.

I used Tableau by Salesforce in my last job and was so impressed I bought a bit of their stock and made a five figure profit in a few months. Probably should have held on to it…

I was technical also, engineering for several major companies.

All my stock is in AI and quantum computing currently...otherwise I have all kinds in mutual funds/IRAs etc...but I should diversify my stock a bit.

Excellent choices!

I’m older, so more conservative investing, but I have Fidelity wise bitcoin ETF which has almost doubled since September and just bought some IT (mostly AI) Fidelity and Vanguard ETFs

Dinner tonight was tasty sandwiches and butternut squash soup at the resort. We wanted something a little lighter after the barbecue lunch in the park. πŸ—

I apparently have several new followers (thank you!!!!!!) but that missed all my pics and videos because of my purge a week or two ago.

In that spirit, I will repost some from time to time.
And since today is "Wet Wednesday" enjoy the below pic

and if you think it doesnt belong because I am not in the shower or pool or something...well...think again! :devilish:
That said... Good God, yes!

That should be my hand down your pants...πŸ’‹
Sexy girl, you're the best!

Agreed, but you are 3000 miles away and my hand is pretty close. Poor substitute, but supposedly can get the job done!

So far😭 but at least we can all imagine that happening...😘

please do NOT imagine us both taking a shower together and then licking each other clean
I'm just not going to get any work done at all today ... and my cock might just be too busy doing other stuff to be able to join you as a substitute for whatever toys you employ when you're in (or out of) the shower! 😜:devilish:

Ladies, you're just too hot and sexy - but I love it! 😘
