The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I have a feeling I know your thoughts..... we are likely similar in them.....

I just keep repeating... "a means to.an end...a means to an end " and " work is called work for a reason"

They really got me today though... esp the new girl who tries to manage me.... get out of here with that. I have seniority.... go kick rocks
Are you familiar with Loe Whaley's channel on YouTube?
Some videos may hit a little too close to home.
But most are spot-on IMHO.
Toodaloo

Here, here's something for that... LOL.

Kidding aside. Don't forget you should lubricate the surfaces they hold together. Lest rust invade, and prevent the shear pin from doing it's job. A blown gearbox is much more of a downer than a blown shear pin. Trust me...
(I happen to know that my blower contains an $800 gearbox, and a $1300 gear box. Not to mention the cost of the rest of the drive line, or gear boxes within the tractor. Shear pins blowing are my friend!)
Totally true. They exist for a good reason.

Rather change a $1 pin than a 700-1300 gearbox. Which is why I keep 2-3 in my truck, 2-3 in my garage and 2-3 at our farm.

It was calm enough. Wind, but relatively low speed. We're on top of a hill, so the air is always moving. The worst part of snow in this weather is that it's so dense. And the "dust" gets under the hood and gets the belts wet. When that happens the alternator can slip and loose power. Gotta stop, back up and let everything dry out again. Only happened once this morning.

The worst drifting we had to clean was from 40" to 60" deep over the whole driveway and road. It was amazing, it completely filled the driveway. The blower on the tractor is 30" high. I had to raise it up, blow a few feet, back up, lower it and cover those few feet again. Rinse and repeat until both 300' driveways were opened.
Our driveway is abt the same length, but the worst we’ve ever gotten was maybe 30” abt 10 yo. I remember having to snow blow in stages like you describe.

Good luck!

I just had the most frustrating meeting.

I have made a decision. I will be doing nothing. I will not tell my opinion. Everything will be fine. I will not be offering to write documents or proof them. I will not take lead on anything.... fuck these people.

I believe the term is quiet quitting.

My last words were. " should have the cancer education done for you all to change... have a nice day" we have to make sure that all the cartoon characters are in the right place on the power point.

Did I say fuck these people?

The last time we were all together we talked about having a best friend at work...fucking really.... now we need to leverage relationships to figure out their billing process. I am not a biller and am barely a coder..then what.... thanks for telling me and good luck... but the rest of these fucktards are sitting there like bobbleheads agreeing.

Fuck fuck fucking fuck

EDIT: the same person who told leadership that me going to the acdis conference was a waste of money is not only going but attending the long session which is 2x as much money.... and they had the nerve to ask my opinion. My response was look at the agenda and make your determination from that....what I wanted to say was ....so you going makes it a good financial.decision when a year ago me going was not....hmmmm...then she talked about never being to Disney and how excited she was..... she wasn't interested when conference was in Indianapolis....fuck
Fuck that. Being nice to people is all well and good. But you gotta get the job done and produce. And not waste company money.

I hope you can find a new job or team that suits you better. Maybe a move to another system??

The real question is, how fast is the bee flying through Miami???

Just came in from breaking ice. It's tough to keep the critters in water this time of year, and it's not fair that they not have any. The damned troughs freeze back over every few hours, so one takes his or her #2 shovel and goes to war on the ice. Then you have to shovel out what you can because it just holds the cold and helps it freeze faster. Hint: ice shovels fer shit.

Good thing the main troughs get some sunshine.

The mama goat's water bucket is under the heat lamp but still freezes.

Still no baby goats, but the little dwarf girl is cute as a button.

And do all those profanities make you feel better? Lol

It’s not something I’ve seen in a house built since the fifties is all
Far from standard, but they are really handy to have IMO.
One of my childhood homes was built in 1922. The pantry had been converted to a dinette decades before we bought it. While it was handy for seating a large family for a meal, it might have been handier in its original state.

Just the opinion of one of the kids tasked with unloading on grocery day and subsequently running down to the basement for something when we would run out up in the main kitchen - since we had no pantry. 🤷‍♀️

They are against big brother and big tech knowing too much about us.
Drop in the bucket but not a bad place to start.
Read any TOS lately? Or just skip to the end and accept?😏
I used to love looking thru the McMaster Carr catalogs. My dad used to order shit from there all the time.

One of my good friends used to work there.
Is that the mechanic's version of the Sears Catalog?
Asking for... a friend
