Our company and our vendor (conference sponsor) got wise to that BS and stopped holding conferences at "Destination Locations" (i.e. Disney, Vegas, etc.) for just that reason. Weeds out a lot of the "Oooh, free vacation" dead weight.

I just had the most frustrating meeting.

It's still used in rebuilding bearings for older machine tools. My power hammer has that type of bearing (Although this one was rebuild 'recently', so probably has another 100 left on this bearing build). I have one scraper for truing up bearings like that.

You probably do know my thoughts. I'm having PMs with a longtime friend here about making it another 18-24 months and then "retiring," which means changing careers completely. I respect some of the kids who really know their stuff, but the ones who are all bossy can pound sand.


The landlady says they're putting in a tiny homes community up near town, so we're going to go to look at it today when she gets off of work. I'll let you know.
