Blacked vs. Bleached: Porn Industry Debate

No, I know that Blacked is primarily white. However, Bleached is also mostly white women. It should still be interracial to be on the same wavelength as Blacked. So it isn't at all the same kind of vibe. Just white boys fucking white women, according to a friend of mine.
None of that is what I'm talking about. I'm talking about a hypothetical franchise under the Vixen Media Group that's a race-swapped Blacked: White men with non-White women but the same quality of production. Like @DrPope said, that video you linked to just looks like gonzo porn that happens to have the word "Bleached" in the video title.

Weirdly enough, there was a time in proper Hollywood movies when white man/black woman romances were way more common than the other way around.
I've noticed in that when it comes to romance novels in the multicultural & interracial category, BWWM (Black Women-White Men) remains very popular. If you cross over into erotica, however, it's another story.

This is what I'm talking about, it isn't interracial.

I feel incredibly sick at my stomach thinking about a guy sticking his dick into such a cute girl. Glad I didn't watch it.
LOL, I just watched the video you screen-grabbed (at 2am while hubby and the kids are fast asleep, as one does) and it's an amateur rip-off of BlackedRaw's intro and filming style, but most definitely NOT what I was talking about. I did like the girl's "My Pussy, My Choice" shirt though, and now I have night-time cravings for a cream-filling.😩

They're both just porn, and porn doesn't interest or impress me. I've never watched either one of them and have no plans to do so. I know what fucking looks like and reading about it is far more enjoyable. But then I don't have a thingy like you, so maybe you need the porn.
It’s nothing like blacked … blacked has a budget about 3000 times that …. Very high quality production

I stand by my statement. Not interested at all. In either franchise, but if they are trying to be a copy that's flipped, they need to be doing any race but white.

I would not watch it with a phone,
I would not watch it on my own.
I do not like it from a cam,
I do not like it Sam I am!

Yeah, I'd just like to jump in real quick and confirm what @MillieDynamite already wrote.

The "Bleached" franchise is nothing hypothetical, it's an already well-defined term in porn. It's just... not what you think it's about. It's not the opposite of "Blacked", where BWCs turn black women addicted, but a kind of... protest movement.
While the "Blacked" fantasies involve Spade tattoos, and slogans like "Once you go black, you never go back", the "Bleached" fantasies give the white women Queen of Hearts tattoos... and slogans like "Breed right! Breed white!".

So... yeah... I think, with that slogan, everyone knows what I meant by "protest to Blacked fantasies", and why the women in "Bleached" videos are white.

This is a false conflation of two different ideas. I don't care how the term "bleached" is actually used as a hashtag on pornhub because I defined it for the purposes of this market scenario featuring a hypothetical franchise under the Vixen Media Group as a race-swapped Blacked with White male and Black female performers.

Yes, the term "bleached" is a well-defined term in porn, and yes, it is the inverse of "blacked"; but the way I defined the inversion is entirely different, and I did it solely to encapsulate a key point in this scenario. So your point about "bleached" fantasies featuring White women with White men as a push-up against "blacked" fantasies isn't wrong, it's just irrelevant here.

Yeah, sorry, I think I fail to see the point of your hypothetical "debate", given how you postulate so much that any and all answers are basically already given.

I just wanted to provide some context for what others wrote... and point out that your question of whether it could be successful or not is answered in reality. Because the franchise exists in reality. And it's NOT as successful.

I'm not aware of a Vixen Media Group franchise that does this - they've got just about everything else, but not this. This is what KL is specifically talking about, and it doesn't exist. The question is whether it would make money.

I think it probably would, but it wouldn't be anything close to what the other Vixen channels bring in.

Honestly, the only reason I know this much about it is because my current series has one of the main characters setting up a studio going head-to-head against a fictional version of Vixen (it's named "Reyn" in my series...Reyn...short for Reynard the Fox. Vixen = female fox. Yeah, I'm a dork) and I was toying with a "Bleached" style channel but haven't fully fleshed it out yet.

Yes. That's exactly my point. They have just about everything else... that makes money. Bleached doesn't. So, postulating a hypothetical universe in which they DO produce it, and put just as much money into it as they put into the Blacked franchise, basically tells you it would have to be just as successful. If you have four people paying for that content, you're not gonna produce as much as you would in a genre that is bought by millions. It's that simple.

Same for the question about racism. That stuff WAS, about half a decade ago, about EXACTLY what OP specified. But, by now, it devolved into nazis' wet dreams and white power propaganda. So, naturally, nobody touches it anymore. That answers the other question about whether her "hypothetical" version would suffer from the racism angle.

How do we know if Bleached or Blacked makes money, or how much of said money either one makes? I'm not sure I even care one way or another. No, I'm pretty sure I don't care. Yeah, that's what it is, I don't care. But is there a place to look at the revenue of the different venues? What market share does either of them have? Is it definable as to dollars, marks, yen, pounds, fanks, or euros?

For what it's worth, I've seen the 'bleached' and 'Queen of Hearts' terms used for White Male Black Female and for White Male Asian Female (and depending on how finely you slice race, other WMxF combinations. Obviously it's racially charged by nature and 'bleached' is a fairly icky term anyway - when I think of bleached in the context of porn, my mind goes to arseholes and not in a good way. The third commonly accompanying phrase somehow manages to be worse - 'Colonized'

Personally, I've not seen the terms in relation to White Male White Female, but since I'm not seeking out Aryan porn myself...

No, it doesn't, unless you're telling me you don't know the difference between a franchise and a hashtag. There is no such race-swapped Blacked franchise called "Bleached" under Vixen Media, which is what the scenario was positing. The "context" you provided regarding how the term "bleached" is used in amateur porn is totally irrelevant here.

That's a fair argument for the hypothetical franchise not using the term "Bleached" (although racism in porn is seldom a commercial deal-breaker), but that's basically a branding issue. The consensus of the thread seems clear that, no matter what brand name it goes under, the demand for a race-swapped Blacked simply isn't there to justify the same level of investment that my scenario calls for.

Well I know Vixen group booked US$166m in revenue in 2023 ...I'd suggest blacked is making money.

I'd be surprised if Bleached is making 0.5% of that

Maybe start this thread over and use some different name than ā€œBleachedā€ for the hypothetical channel, because it’s clearly a severe distraction that it already exists in a different form and with different content than you spelled out in the first post, OP. I’m not sure this thread will ever recover

No way.

There is no way that ā€œbleachedā€ (white guy on non-white Woman as indicated by KL) would be nearly as popular in the US.

A big draw of porn is the ā€œexoticismā€ and ā€œtaboo-nessā€ of it. In Anglophile media, since guys are the primary consumers of porn, and white guys are the majority, Blacked is the profitable choice. There’s nothing taboo about a white guy with a non-white woman. Heck, old conservative dude and young Philippines/SE Asian woman is practically a lifestyle choice in some parts of Florida.

This would change in other places… I’ve always found the racial dynamics for Indians to be really fascinating, since they have a different set of taboos for relationships between castes and Hindu/Muslims.

I was interested in this so I went digging around in PornHubs list of most popular channels. Holy hell is Blacked a phenomena on there, second only to Brazzers. I'd assumed that there would be something Asian themed around or slightly below the subscriber count but no, theres almost nothing that isnt a general catchall channel in the same order of magnitude.

Assuming that this is all for a story, there is ways to make it work without interest and income matching a different franchise or group, no? I'm not familiar with any of the productions being discussed, but I read the thread. Instead of making your alternative porn company a part of a real-life, well-established domain you could write a scenario in which some rich man (or woman!) already owns expensive and luxurious areas - such as mansions - for filming around the world. Then you pair that with local talent, which would significantly cut down on the production cost without necessarily reducing the overall quality. šŸ¤” Besides those two factors, what else is costly in the industry? High quality cameras? Maybe the rich benefactor/owner made their fortune making movies in Hollywood and has channels to get that sort of things for cheap.

Clearly it's veered way off course, but I think the consensus was pretty well established before that happened: the troubled and very particular history of American race relations means that Blacked/BlackedRaw have a huge, possibly insurmountable, commercial advantage over a hypothetical "Bleached" channel, regardless of the brand name.

It's actually not for a planned story, but I do like that setup! You could also write it from the perspective of a member of the production crew who spends his/her days helping to make these porn films but secretly yearns to be the one on camera.

The whole premise is kind of racist. Blacked is like, white whore needed breeding by mandingo. Bleached is like black whore needed white cock conversion. childish shit. Sexual attraction and being sexy has so very little to do with colour except in the minds of people who want to punish or shame. who subscribes to this? Sometimes some really sexy people enjoy the contrast but holy cow. I have very fond memories of a Tanzanian girl i knew in the early nineties and the way our skins looked in the sweaty moonlight. But that was just about lust and sex and the wonderful way we looked together. No one had any power advantage or control. Just skins colliding passionately. Beautifully. But lots of these stories and yucky porn are celebrating racial dominance and worse, shaming white or black women for their enjoyment of sex. Makes me sad.

It’s very racist. I’m also pretty sure there’s an underlying degree of porn addiction to it in many cases. I strongly doubt guys are getting into ā€œblackedā€ porn their first exposure. It’s just the constant hunt for that dopamine rush in porn that causes addicts to keep going deeper and deeper.

White men and black women are not fetishized to anywhere near the degree of Black male white female is.

The positive about that is it is not portrayed in anywhere near the 100% racist angle as BM/WF is with all the superior black male inferior white male cuck crap, the woman is somehow sluttier and more of a whore for being with a black man, the black men usually look like gang banging thugs and act like them. I can go on and on. BNWO material is the definition of racism in every way.

The appeal to IR for me, and many, is just the physical contrast in skin. A dark body with a lighter body, or in some ethnic pairings a difference in features and appearance. My personal favorite is women from India or Middle East with white men or woman. It's the excitement of what I mentioned without the debasement of the typical BM/WF

But unfortunately, its the 'taboo' and stereotypes played up in sites like blacked and others that are on display. I don't see much of that in any other dynamic. I don't see it as a standard in WM/BF that the woman is somehow degraded, or the guy acting like some total tool that she's lucky to be with.

You can keep 90% of the BM/WF porn both in video and the race baiting BS you see here and other story sites. Its rare to find just a straight up IR coupling where nothing is mentioned about the color, its just hot sex. I enjoy them when I find them, and its the only way I write them. My IR couplings are two characters who happen to be different ethnicities and that's it.

I always find it ironic that people who beat the word racism to death are the same people who never see it in what I described. As in its very real and not fabricated like most of the crap they cry about.

I think you are right about a lot of IR porn. I've been looking at Blacked though and the formula seems to be Glamorous White (or Asian) Girl + Black Guy with Enormous Penis + High Production Values + Generic Porn Plot and Action. I could be wrong about this as there are a huge number of videos, but they don't seem to be playing up the 'thug' angle - there are a lot of pools, beaches, blue skies, and the typical luxurious porn apartments. The 'sluttier/whore' aspect is hard to measure in the sense that, if we're still going around calling women 'sluts' in the twenty-first century, then someone who is appearing in a hardcore pornographic video is kind of already there - the porn that is shot seems to be generically 'she's really enjoying the experience' rather than going out of it's way to be degrading to the woman. (Opinions may vary). There's a lot of reference to enjoying BBCs in the descriptions, but generally it's not insulting the women in the titles.

@Kasumi_Lee seems to know a lot more than I do about this particular channel, but might it have found massive success by presenting this fetish in a more upmarket/neutral way thant the typical 'thugs n skanks n cucks' way? Even if some of the underlying and potentially racist aspects are still left to the viewer's imagination.
