I feel like the 90's was probably their last great era but could be wrong (I'm not old enough to remember the 90s) I do remember my dad going to a few races and watching on TV. Like just sitting there watching things fly left. Never understood why.

I can see that point. I got into it early in the 2000's and was rabidly engaged through about 2018 to 2020. Lots of fun during that time. The pre-playoff days were the best though, so the 90's may have even been better.

It still might be of interest to you to attend a race in person. TV does not do it justice.
