MS word is my preferred format but will use Open Office/Libre Office. Have also used Google Docs, but edit offline, not live.

Usually avoid these: Anal; BDSM (have edited cases of light use for friends); Fetish; Gay Male; Group Sex; Lesbian (have read and reviewed some for friends, but that's it); Group Sex (will do if light); Toys; Transgender. I have zero tolerance for dehumanizing anyone for kicks or exceptionally disturbing content (like scat/urine).

I specialize in streamlining stories for reading (e.g., eliminating unneeded repetition, run-ons/comma splices), grammar and punctuation (although weak on dialogue dynamics) eliminating plot holes and general research. Recently edited a story to 9500 from 11K words. I suggest based on cross-cultural connections and universal truths, as I specialize in structuralism.

I exclusively use Google Docs because commenting is easiest there and it saves comments the best of anything I've seen (aside from a doc natively edited/commented in Adobe Acrobat).

Will reply to conversations within 24 hours, but include anything you specifically want me to look for or help with. My time available may sometimes vary due to workload.

Happy to do a few (have done also in the past). I am a Brit so may not get some of the localisations for non-Brit's but am willing to call it out. Happy to look from both a grammar and continuity perspective. Happy also to look at non-native English speakers from a language perspective, but wouldn't expect to have to rewrite the story. I'd suggest have a look at one or two of my stories in related genres and you'll get a feel for my style to see if it would match what you are trying to convey in your writing. I tend to be (I believe) quite conservative and realistic in my writing. I like to think that what I write could actually happen, so not a lot of positions only achievable by a circus contortionist. I also like to think that a good story should flow in a way which draws the reader into the plot (not sure if mine do, but that is my aspiration).

Will struggle with anything upwards of 10k words due to time (work and my own writing) but will call it out if there is a challenge. I tend to prefer to share the text by e-mail as free text rather than to share documents. I know this impacts the ability to add review comments, so I tend to tag them in the text itself to make them easily identifiable.

You will see from my writings that I have dabbled in a lot of genres, so would feel comfortable in any of these (Anal, Incest, Group, Lesbian, Romance, Erotic Horror, NonHuman, Erotic Couplings, BDSM (more the B and D that the SM), First Time, Fetish (within reason... done panty wetting etc), Exhibitionist & Voyeur, Toys & Masturbation). Tend to stay away from Gay Male (just don't know the subject) or Loving Wives (just don't appreciate the hassle).

If there was a reciprocal type of arrangement, that would also be something I would be open to.

I have over 30 years experience in editing and proofreading business and educational documents. Erotica is a new genre for me, but one I’m interested in editing. I will assist with editing just about anything but prefer not to deal with feces, urine or vomit or brutality. BDSM and non-consent are fine…is fine but non-consent with severe abuse isn’t my wheelhouse. Otherwise, I am pretty open to edit almost anything. I’m looking forward to helping!

I've been thinking about becoming a volunteer editor for years now. I currently have the time to actually volunteer.

I can help with the regular stuff, such as grammar, continuity, flow.

I am also interested in helping with character development and plot. Analyzing character's motivations, personality, want vs need, etc. I find it all fascinating.

I can also edit Spanish stories or English stories written by native Spanish speakers. I have been an interpreter and translator for over 2 decades. I am also familiar with most Romance languages.

I particularly like stories that feel at least believable. Stories where the main characters have a decent amount of development. However, I am open to any kind of story.

Research is also something I am passionate about. If anyone goes as far as needing help researching a topic, I'm your guy!

I believe I am more qualified to help with BDSM stories, given that I have real life experience in the lifestyle. The only categories I would not be able to help with would be cross dressing and gay male.
