That's all. Hands up if you're proudly un-inked.

Nothing against them personally, I've just never seen the need and am quite amused by the thought of being laid out on the post-mortem slab whenever my time comes and the attendants being like yeah, it's a rare one.

I did once have the urge to get the match.com username of a former gf inked over my heart, because it was unique, a Google bomb and my asking her about it got me the intro and date. Glad I didn't now because it didn't last 🤣

Clean here. I've had times, and I'm sure I'll have them again, where I think I might want one. I doubt, however, I'll ever pull the trigger.

Haha... These days, when I see an NBA player without one single tattoo I regard him as something of a counter-culture Rebel, a tough-minded man who is NOT going to be swayed by peer pressure or fads. It's like I kinda respect him more. Weird.:LOL::LOL:.

But I don't judge those who have them harshly. Indeed, many of the people in my life have them - inc. my wife.

Yeah. I'm old enough to remember when it was just bikers and services (mainly navy) folk that had them, and "civilians" getting one was a bit infra-dig and unclassy. Now it's like everyone does and not having any does feel countercultural.

My wife has just the one, a discreetly placed semicolon, which is of deep significance to her (people with the same will know what it means).

Counterculture is cool though! Technically I now have a tattoo, but it is cosmetic and nobody would notice it anyway.

I don’t think there is anything I like so much that I would still love 20 years from now. 🤣🤣🤣

Never had an inkling to be inked
Wife has two very small and not visable usually
A personal thing.. the younger people overdo it a bit I think

I think it’s a cultural shift, and like you I’m not judging. In fact I kind of have a little fetish for girls with tattoos, especially if they’re well done and have a flow to them. Too many years of going to music festivals have done that I guess!

I’ll add to the sentiment above. Had uncles that had them from WWII. I always thought if I ever did get one, it’d be a military unit. Well, I was in the military, and don’t want any of my units on me! In my mind it’s still the territory of the military, Bikers, and all around bad-asses. At least those were the ones who got ink when I was growing up.

No ink here.

I'm not against the idea, I've just never yet had an idea of anything which was so meaningful that I'd ink it permanently.

You're not alone in the "love tasteful ink on women" group...

In the year 2040.

"Wow, did you see her?! Gorgeous - almost intimidatingly so!"

"Yeah! No tattoos, no piercings! She must be some kinda maverick to have said, 'no' to all of that! ..To tell her friends, 'Hell, no! I'm not down with marking up my body and putting holes all over it!' Wow, what a courageous woman!"

"yeah, I know! ..And to think that to find out her favorite bible quote, pop-cultural reference, movie quote, her spirit-animal, and the name of her deceased Mom, one would have to actually TALK to her!"

"Yeah, right!? ..But not me. She intimidates the hell out of me with all of that NON-Tattoo'd skin!"

:)

I remember a comedian or someone talking about all the above.

If you really want to stand out as counter culture, go ink free and listen to classical music! 😂

Tat free. Although there are some sexy tats around. Less is more, but I'm 70.

After acquiring a few scars, I figure the cost of a tattoo is too much for what might be ruined with my next scar, plus the various other skin conditions that accumulate with age. But the tat along a mastectomy scar I saw in some book looked like money well spent.

No disrespect to ink fans, but tats just look ugly to me. It seems like spray painting graffiti on your house, except uglier and more permanent. Also I love seeing women naked, and with ink they look less naked.

That's just my taste. I totally respect others' tastes as equally valid, so if you love tats, good for you, enjoy.

No tats, lots of scars. I stopped my stitch count

Quote taken from a poster at a tool/hardware store

Scars are like tattoos with better stories

Am ink free. Did not want to end up with one blue freckle
