two ways.

You can copy and paste an image direct into the post you are trying to make - but there's a size limit on the images so you can't drop big ones - I use snipit to copy and paste where I need to but still, you need to make sure its not too big which is a pain in the ass
The other way is to use the "insert Image" icon in the header panel View attachment 2453283 - that little guy there - and then you can either select an image file of your drive to upload or drop an image into it. Size limitation still applies. Double pain in the ass
