There should be an age limit on getting the surgery. I dont think a five year old should take any meds for it, but when they are about 13+ I think its can be questioned absolutely. The problem with the covid vax is that we were the test subjects. What were the long term effects? We don't know because it wasn't properly tested. My biggest issue with it was the pressure to get the vaccine. I already had covid. I got it early. Natural antibodies will beat a vaccine every time. It wasn't necessary for me at all.
I'm all for doing whatever you want with your life. However, I'm completely against transing kids. Most of the time, it's ruining their life. You can not just stop taking testosterone (it's the worst for girls transitioning to boys) or estrogen and everything goes back to normal. Right now, we're seeing a lot of kids regretting their decision and they can't go back. There was a study done in Sweeden, if you just leave the kid alone and don't give them drugs or push it, the vast majority of the time, they will get over it within ten years and be fine. They realize they weren't actually trans. We don't let kids smoke, drive, drink, or vote. Why would we let them decide to cut off body parts or irreversibly change it? You are correct with sports. Except they will still have the advantage of muscle gains. I don't remember the exact percentages but even after a year of being on estrogen, even with the bottom surgery, trans women still have an advantage over women. Then, the other problem is, all you need to do is say your trans. You don't need to even try to look the opposite gender and you get to use the bathroom. That is so easily exploited. There are way too many examples of kids and adults being creeped on in the bathroom. It even happens in the prison system. A dude said he was trans. Didn't take any medication or surgery and they moved him to the women's prison. He ended up assaulting 3 women.
As for competing, thats why I mentioned ideas like time penalties or having had the surgery and being on the drugs for a certain amount of time. Alos a man is not going to ALWAYS beat a woman in any/evrey sport.
Not to mention certain women are also superhuman freaks at their sport. I know about the whole Billie Jena King tennis issue, but you think any pro man can whoop Serena Williams from 10 years ago? Ill take that bet. The sam eprobably holds true in many other sports that take more skill than just being taller/stronger/faster. Golf. Tennis. Soccer. Basketball. Yes basketball.
100m dash? Likely not.
4x100 swimming relay? Prob not.
But look at the olympics (I love the ol;ympics). The mens and womens times in some of those sports is not that far off. There are some women who are fucking badasses and will destroy some men.
Its not cut and dry. There can be compromises and adjustments to make it reasonable.
As for covid, you know you can get it more than ocne right? My cousin, who is a nurse, has had it many times. I also had it and was hospitalized and had people fly out to visit me in Japan because I nearly died.
