Sorry, but it was a no-brainer to me and I dont really understand why politics would be involved in saving lives/medicine.
People get a flu vaccine yearly. Pepole get measles, mumps, diptheria, hepatits, polio shots and more when babies. No issues there for 99% of everyone. So why covid? Oh because our lord and savior Trump and the mypillow asshat said it was bad and drink bleach instead? Mmmmmmkay!

I have a couple of issues where I am middle of the road or right leaning. Basically everytihng else is either left or like...wayyyy the fuck left.

Those issues are: capital punishment, and trans ppl in HS/college/pro sports.

Trans is tough because I am absolutely for trans rights. But if some 6 ft 4 beast guy decides he is female and competes with me in running or swimming or whatever, Ill get crushed. And that usually true. Now, maybe there some compromises that can be worked out. I dont know what. Time penalties. Must have had the actual operation and been on the hormones for x amount of time. I dont know "whats fair"...but I think it can be worked out, just not as is.

As for cap punishment. You go shoot up a school full of 6th graders? Sorry, I have no issues if you die. You rape and kill women? Yeah 20 years in jail is fine but...again, no issues if you die.

Thanks Kit. I don’t disagree and no judgement 🙏 but, no I didn’t.. and it had very little to do with left / right, who’s president of USA or other “politics”. I do have a general, “life philosophy”, I guess you might call it, which, I find, is often at odds or at least unsatisfied in the maelstrom of “news” grabs and infotainment and if I’m unconvinced then I hesitate or reject..
I’m a skeptic and perhaps a contrarian by nature, some might even call me cynical..

The problem with the covid vax is that we were the test subjects. What were the long term effects? We don't know because it wasn't properly tested. My biggest issue with it was the pressure to get the vaccine. I already had covid. I got it early. Natural antibodies will beat a vaccine every time. It wasn't necessary for me at all.

I'm all for doing whatever you want with your life. However, I'm completely against transing kids. Most of the time, it's ruining their life. You can not just stop taking testosterone (it's the worst for girls transitioning to boys) or estrogen and everything goes back to normal. Right now, we're seeing a lot of kids regretting their decision and they can't go back. There was a study done in Sweeden, if you just leave the kid alone and don't give them drugs or push it, the vast majority of the time, they will get over it within ten years and be fine. They realize they weren't actually trans. We don't let kids smoke, drive, drink, or vote. Why would we let them decide to cut off body parts or irreversibly change it? You are correct with sports. Except they will still have the advantage of muscle gains. I don't remember the exact percentages but even after a year of being on estrogen, even with the bottom surgery, trans women still have an advantage over women. Then, the other problem is, all you need to do is say your trans. You don't need to even try to look the opposite gender and you get to use the bathroom. That is so easily exploited. There are way too many examples of kids and adults being creeped on in the bathroom. It even happens in the prison system. A dude said he was trans. Didn't take any medication or surgery and they moved him to the women's prison. He ended up assaulting 3 women.
