New Jersey is considering a bill to tax fossil fuel processors extra to create a "Climate Change Superfund."

Corporate Raiders

Only one answer to that, shut it all down. Leave town. Make it all go away. Watch what happens when the pigs start to starve.

This is all you need to know.

"The proposal would impose as yet unspecified charges on fossil fuel producers that would go to the state Department of Environmental Protection, which would distribute the money as grants to pay for programs to adapt to climate change and make the state more resilient to severe weather."

It's a slush fund to pay off favored donors.

Nothing in the quoted text supports that conclusion.

The location of this story in New Jersey does, of course.

Really? Everyone that purchases those products are just going to do without? *chuckle*
Every year I have replaced a fossil fuel burning product. My goal is all gone within the next 10 years. I pay extra for renewable energy as my electrical supply.
