The last math class I took was a statistics course freshman year of college. I dropped it before I flunked it.

Then I moved to Humanities for my Masters, but my Bachelors were in STEM.

I saw a recipe video where they used ranch as a pizza sauce and all I could think of was …. “The ranch is gonna be warm” … and I noped right out of that video.

This is why our society’s overemphasis on STEM is hurting us a LOT, humanities are what make actual day to day life way more understandable, but libraries don’t donate billions to colleges like STEM industries

Actually I don't know if the distrust of things going right is really a superstition or just the actions of paranoia...but then again isn't superstition just ritualized paranoia?

I also physically look at my keys before shutting any door AND pat them in my pocket without fail. And always always check the shower before getting in fuck you Alfred Hitchcock.

That class reminded me why I went into the humanities. I need space for the gray areas.

Funny story when I moved back to Canada after going to college in the USA the Canadian university didn’t believe I took the pre-requisite courses and I had to track down my syllabus from all my college math and physics classes to prove that I was qualified

I don’t think there’s an overemphasis … but I do wish that we could do better at combining STEM with humanities so we get more well rounded people.
