Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense

Redistributive taxation is not oppression.

Taking peoples labor by force, otherwise known as SLAVERY, is one of the most classic forms of oppression.

Taking from others by force and or discrimination against the outgroup are the only two routes to equity.

Both are oppressive and disgusting. That's why they are felonious crimes.

Taking peoples labor by force, otherwise known as SLAVERY, is one of the most classic forms of oppression.
That would apply to any taxation, but most people accept that taxation, as such, is not oppressive. The only dissent on that point comes from laughable and dismissible Libertarian cranks.

Never go full Rand.

There is a Deputy Secretary of Defense and there are many more Under and Assistant Secretaries, and each Assistant Secretary has an assistant and/or secretary.

But they should not all be taking their lead from the likes of Hegseth.

Democrat Mega Donor Weighs in on Pete Hegseth: “I Actually Think He’s Been a Pretty Good Guy” (Video)

by Margaret Flavin Dec. 9, 2024 9:30 am

Democrat mega-donor Lindy Li, who has served on the DNC National Finance Committee, recently appeared on News Nation to discuss President Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth. Hegseth has been under constant attack by the liberal media, using a variety of anonymous accusers to smear Pete’s name and his character.

Seemingly surprising the News Nation host, Li shared her positive take on Pete over the weekend.

“Thank you so much for having me, ” Li shared. “Well, actually, I think maybe you’re looking for someone to oppose his nomination, but I actually have personal interactions. Because I’ve been on Fox & Friends, I’ve met Pete, and he’s my fellow Princetonian.”

“I actually think he’s a pretty good guy.”

RINO Senator Joni Ernst Meets with Pete Hegseth: Signals She Will Now Support His Nomination for Secretary of Defense

by Margaret Flavin Dec. 9, 2024 8:40 pm

Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), a key GOP vote in the Senate’s confirmation of Trump nominees, has recently come under fire for her opposition to Pete Hegseth’s nomination as Secretary of Defense.

On Sunday, she announced plans to meet with Hegseth but remained vague on whether she would vote to confirm him.

On Monday, Ernst met with Hegseth in what Hegseth described as a “very good meeting.”

Hegseth, who has known Ernst for 10 years, shared, “The more we talk, the more we are reminded that we are two combat veterans and we are dedicated to defense.”

Man tempered like steel faces down wild RINO.

Sen. Warren presses Hegseth to answer questions about his past actions and statements

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Elizabeth Warren is pressing Pete Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for defense secretary, to answer additional questions about his past actions and statements before next Tuesday’s confirmation hearing.

In a letter to Hegseth sent Monday, the Massachusetts Democrat asked the former Fox News host and Army veteran to respond no later than Friday to questions on allegations of past drinking, sexual assault and mismanagement of veterans organization finances — all of which he denies. She also wants to know about statements he’s made concerning minorities, women and LGBTQ people serving in the military.

Never mind the drinking, Hegseth's association with Concerned Veterans for America should be enough to disqualify him -- it's a Koch Brothers network organization that wants to privatize the VA.
This cannot be repeated often enough.

Reading Hegseth's Wikipedia entry, one can see that "nonconsensual sexual advances" is an underlying theme throughout this entire career, beginning in college.

He first appears to have appeared on conservative radar screens by writing a troll-ish editorial for the Princeton student newspaper, saying "It's not rape if she passed out  and you fucked her, there was no "duress" because she was unconscious".

Hurrah for roofies! :cautious: (<---- side note: this emoji indicates both sarcasm and disgust, for you n00bs here)

In any event, Hegseth has shown a pattern of Derpy-class hair splitting.

Others have discussed his financial mismanagement of charities (getting demoted from CEO to an $8,000 a year "board member" after blowing an entire third of the charity's budget on the office Christmas party for example).

The numerous allegations that Hegseth treated the charity's bank account like his personal expense account is troubling.

I cannot recall a lesser qualified man ever nominated for the position of Secretary of Defense.

Hegseth is way out of his depth, and I suspect that if confirmed, I predict he will be the first cabinet member to leave the incoming administration. You might recall that Secretary of Defense was a revolving door during the first regime: Five Defense Secretaries in four years.

Are Deplorables still crying about another of their leaders being outed as a racist?

*looks up*

Yup. :)
