Yes, the US Army lowered some of its fitness test standards for women and older soldiers in 2022:

• Reduced weight: Women must lift 20 pounds less in the dead lift than men to pass.
• Longer run time: Women and older soldiers get a minute or two longer to complete the run.
• Lower weight bar: Men older than 46 have a lower weight bar.

The Army made these changes after a RAND study found that men were passing the new Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) at a much higher rate than women and older soldiers. The ACFT is a six-event test that was developed in 2019. The changes were based on data and analysis, including an independent assessment required by Congress.


The ACFT was designed to provide gender-neutral physical standards based on different military occupational specialties. However, the new gender-normed test changed requirements and scoring tables. For example, the leg-tuck event was dropped.

That's FURTHER reduction of standards....that's DEI trying to get more strawng wahmenz who don't need no man for nothing!!! (except to pay the bills and lower the standards so they can participate) in the ranks.

They started dropping them years back when they realized if they held females to the same standards as men there would be almost no females in the military.
