Communism is a political, economic, and social ideology that aims to create a classless society where the means of production are owned in common. 👎

Cummunism is a social ideology that aims to create a free love society where the means of reproduction are owned in common. 👍

I'm wondering if I can work this into our world without creating some creepy cult-like atmosphere or should I just create a fantasy world where this is a norm, and add a person from our world to discover it elsewhere. In a very 'Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court' sort of way. Thoughts?

"Free Love" sounds a lot sexier than "Communism." Communism makes he think of people waiting in long lines for a loaf of bread. And I suspect that a lot of people won't even notice the O switched to a U.

You could do it in a Tarl Cabot of Gor kind of setting (minus the slavery), where an ordinary earthman finds himself whisked away to the planet of free love, and tries to figure out just how things work there.

Fantasy world would work best I think.

Government provides everything.

Government provides your food, your accommodation and your job.

Every evening a new person arrives at your apartment to be your official lover for the evening. Government instructs you if you are to use a government provided condom or not.

Nobody marries. Everyone is always "single". Romance is not allowed by law.

Maybe a plot in this world would be the main character falls in love with a coworker, though that coworker is never chosen as their official lover for the night.

So their love is kept secret.

(Protagonist could be either male or female in this scenario)

That could (with a little bending) fit into Romeo and Juliet. The star-crossed lovers forbidden to marry.

You can make it a future speculative world, in which it would be similar to the world in We or Brave New World. The person who observes the world and questions its assumptions could be like D-503, who initially identifies with the way things are done and is influenced to start to question it, or like John the Savage, who grew up outside the mainstream culture, discovers it for the first time as an adult, and doesn't like what he sees.

Does this new world allow for homosexuality, Non binary and asexual people, or do you just have sex with them regardless of Gender?

What happens when a Nanny goat knocks on your door carrying a bottle of wine and a smile?

Perhaps set it in a post Cummunist Revolution world. All the non Cumminist (Cockitalist?) propaganda and media has been destroyed so as not to corrupt young minds.

A hot young female, who dreads having to perform her Cummunist duties with creepy older Party Leaders finds a stash of hidden pre-revolution erotic novels and a porn magazines that depict fun and choice.

After enjoying some personal discovery with these books and magazines she shows them to a young male friend whom she enjoys doing occasional doubles shifts with and secretly likes. They run off together to start a “commune”. They lure other renegades and rebels to join their struggle.

Or perhaps she discovers the wonderfully delicious world of Lesbianism. Delighting in the taste of other sweet young women. She discovers the missing ingrediant from her earlier dalliances with men. The women understand her needs, realise that sex is not a race to the end and uncovers why women love making love with other women...
The world of Cummunist collapses. Old unattractive men can no longer depend on women turning up on their doorsteps....
The world slowly reverts to one much like ours. Where people have choices.

You guys seem to be taking it a bit more seriously than I was. I was thinking of a world where you can love whoever you want, whenever you want, and no one cares who the daddy is. Where people still get in committed relationships, but sex is just sex. I find it an enticing idea simply because it's so far from my reality.

I think this seems quite amusing. Seems quite utopic in a way. Marriage is for the truest of love that transcends sex. Beds are essential in every room. It's normal to see someone railed in public. Babies are popping left and right, but I would believe there are government benefits for this. Sounds like a fun read but who is it that we follow? What's their journey and climax to all this?

So there’s a non erotic fantasy setting where I have something like that.

Effectively the series is about a goblin who get raised in a society like that but due to a series of tragedies gets kicked out. Anywho:

Goblins in the setting are extremely communal. While they do have romantic feelings for individuals they also have a communal love that can be erotic, romantic, and familial. When a child is born, they do note who the mother is (as the different communities tend to be matriarchal so the few times it’s important to know parentage is during weddings with other communities and tribes) but otherwise everyone raises the kids and they get their names over time, not all at once.

As for sex, due to them having limited space, it’s pretty common for a large communal orgy to be going on in a designated area at all times, that goblins join and leave freely. Gender and sex don’t tend to matter (though again, there are matriarchal elements) and the only taboo is incest which goblins are able to instinctually know who is related to them so if an orgy is going on and two siblings are there and roll on top of each other, they’ll know what’s up and politely go to another partner

I figured the quirks of their society would be

1: goblins when outside of their communities have trouble with having sex with only one partner at a time (leading to outsiders thinking all goblins want to gangbang/rape women). It actually takes a lot of courage for a goblin to have sex without at least having some other people nearby

2. When outsiders join in, there’s a lot of confusion. For example, bandit leader joins in wanting to escape her pursuers. She doesn’t understand that she can just leave the orgy whenever and her longer pregnancy as well as her need to know where her child is as well as refusal to care for other children causes the goblins to be perplexed.

Now alternatively I had thought up a different one for an erotic setting, where the goblins do have the same society but too many males, so each spring they kick out the excess males after letting them fuck their fill of the women. The only way they can earn their way back is to do a great deed for their tribe or prove they can make daughters.

The more erotic one would focus on a male goblin learning how to survive outside his community and trying to have lots of daughters only to find courting works very differently

That could be interesting.
Like husband and wife at the club. Wife comes up "Hey, honey, I'm just stepping out real quick to take that tall guy for a fuck."
"Alright honey, see you in a bit."
woman that husband was talking to: "Oh, I haven't fucked in a couple of days, want to rail me real quick?"
Husband: "Sure, just drop your panties."
----------------
Wife pregnant: "Oh I wonder what the baby will look like."
"Yeah, maybe its from that football player you fucked, I would love a little athlete in the family."
-----------------
Daughter's 18th birthday party.
"Congratulations, excited that you are finally allowed to have sex?"
Daughter: "Yeah, I can't wait to try it!"
Father: "Honey, we got a surprise for you, we invited your crush so he can be your first fuck!"
------------------
Daughter's 18yo best friend came to pick her up.
Daughter: "Oh shit I haven't finished my makeup yet. I'll be right down, I'm sorry to make you wait, maybe you can quickly fuck my father while you wait?"

That sounds like what used to be called "free love" and what (American) porn calls "free use".

As I mentioned in my OP, an outsider from this dynamic. Like Twain's, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurs Court.
A person from our world, perhaps raised in a very religious household, is thrust in this world where his first host invites him to stay the night and encourages him to bed his wife or any other female relation. Of course he's awestruck and decides to pass on the offer, but during the night spies the same wife being fucked enthusiastically by another guest perhaps or someone from the staff.

In the morning, overcome with shock, he reports to his host what he saw, whom to his further surprise in utterly unconcerned with any "moral" issue. "That's good. He's a fine fellow and my wife is a terrific hostess."

Thus begins his exploration of the world and it's culture to include it's religion. Maybe their deities are very Greek in origin, where a love goddess exists and the gods were known to breed indiscriminately with each other.

I'll title it, "What the Fuck is Going on Here?"

I disagree "Free use" is usually a woman that lets herself get fucked by anyone who wants to.
But this seems more like sex is just on a lower intemacy level. Much like having a drink with someone they share a fuck.
Which is different because there are still people you wouldn't want to have a drink with or in this case, have sex with.

"Dear Aphrodite, please bless us with amazing sex and screaming orgasms, resulting in strong and healthy children."

"Dear Aphrodite, please bless our daughter on this day, today marks the completion of her 18th year on this eart. Therefor she will now be viable for breeding, please keep her body strong and healthy and gift her the pleasures of being a woman. Let men praise her womb and seed her plentifull. And let her be protected from Zeus's wicked deceptive breeding."

One feels compelled to ask: why only female? Does this world have only het people? What about nonbinary, genderfluid, etc. people?

Or, come to think of it, why is your religious world-switching traveler assumed to be male?

Wouldn't it be funny after having accepted this new reality, a month of indulgence later, he's teleported back to his reality. Lol the end is him saying, "What the Fuck is Going on Here?"

Simple. Because I'm the writer. A het male. If your want stories about non binary and the rest of those folks by all means write them.

@Rob_Royale: I apologize. I came across differently from what I was thinking. I wasn't criticizing you, I was asking an actual question, in the spirit of writing SFF, where you question assumptions to see how things would be different if you made a different selection. I see now that it seemed as if I was saying you were wrong, not at all what I meant.
