Is China's economy in trouble or not?

Pundits have been predicting the collapse of the PRC at least since 2001. But this Belt and Road Initiative is the kind of investment that could only be made by a regime with enormous confidence in the future. Yet I keep reading comments on the PB suggesting they're on their last legs.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about the PRC in its present state is that it does not seem to care very much about Communism any more -- at least, not as an international movement. While the Soviet Union existed, it was the acknowledged center and leader of international Communism. That is a mantle China has shown no interest in taking up. The PRC has given no support at all to Communist movements in other countries since the Vietnam War ended. When they make their demands on Taiwan, they say "Taiwan is historically a province of China." They never say, "We must liberate the workers of Taiwan from their capitalist exploiters." Nobody in the CCP even seems to think in those terms any more.

And it's the same at the grass roots. The Cultural Revolution of the 1960s-70s was among other things a genuine mass movement to make Chinese society more perfectly Communist. That could not happen now, because nobody is that zealous for Communism any more.

Project 2025, I have read, regards China as a threat -- but I am not clear on why. Is it because China is Communist, or because China is an economic competitor?

Previously in China the school textbooks of political science (this is a compulsory course for all grades of schools of all levels) indicate that imperialism is the corrupt, declining and fatal stage of capitalism that cannot survive the 1970s, but it turns out that the big brother of communism USSR dies first, how ironic! So anyone who is evil-minded is not reliable and their comments are all trash.

Recently there are more roadside eateries set up during the time when the city guards finish their daily inspection, and there are more empty houses that cannot find renters because there is no good reason for them to stay in a city where there is no job available, so it could be said that the economy is not so good but the prices of consumer goods are still OK and if you buy things online you can enjoy many discounts.

About making China a threat, it is the convention of American politicians, without which they can't justify their legal existence drawing blood on the taxpayers.

The recently held China Airshow has displayed the great capability of China's military in fighting using robots and unmanned flying machines and the latest news said that a military unit of 300 troopers of People's Liberation Army of China is now having a military operation in Pakistan to wipe out the local terrorists supported by India and other Western power. So far the 30k rebels haven't found any effective measures to stop their daily appearance of 100 to 200 soldiers, all allegedly killed by the robot wolves and drones of China's army, whose 300 memebers are intact and safe and sound. I think it is a little overstated but have to take that as it is because I have no other news source to contradict that.

So what do the textbooks say now?

Is Literotica accessible in China? Or is it blocked by the Great Firewall?

I do not know exactly because I am not the student or the user, but it is under very strict control of idological departments. The great thoughts of our current big boss you know whom are the must included in the textbooks. We do not have teamwork spirit but all along we know very well to unite we stand. Communist Party has its own strength, which is easily highlighted especially in mess and chaos.

So far so good, it is accessible without resorting to any illegal means. Literotica is not a sensitive word or is a word that cannot fully understood by the half-educated censorship staff in China, that is why I can talk to you by it. But nobody can be sure how long such a situation can last.

Is anyone feeling any anxiety over China's economic future?

Also, how do Chinese people nowadays feel about Communism? Not the Communist Party, but Communism itself, as such?

People at grassroots care more about how to get survival in the bleak economic situation or get more money to deal with the coming Chinese New Year, which is a time to either show off back in native towns or villages or face the challenge from parents or relatives on why you are a loser or why you are still single (is it because you do not have enough money to buy home and private car), things like that.

But of course when there is news about a corrupt official of government or of a State-owned company jumped off the high building or was under investigation, people will voice their satisfaction and give vent to their various negative energy in the comment section as if making a holiday. But most of them (the harsh and extreme comments) will be harmonized (deleted) soon. Actually they care more about Trump than their own leader.

The ENTIRE global economy is linked and a house of cards. China and every nation on Earth is ready to collapse economically. On a global scale the inmates are running the asylum. In the USA very few people even understand how the economy is set up. They can not comprehend the seriousness of a 37 trillion dollar debt load. The lessons of history are not even known to the majority. Congress (Red and Blue) is filled with selfish men and women that are possessed with greed and don't mind generating more debt as long as they can keep sucking the marrow out of the bone.

The World Economy is in Trouble

On the brink of Depression Great

The Ides of Fiat are now upon us.

I think the conflagration begins in Socialism and ends in Communism having wiped out everything in between.

We, like speculators past, have been living on dreams of hope, change and the perfection of the human spirit.
As if children impressed with the magic of Santa Clause we conjured up the magic of money with no substance.

Those who said maybe no in this Froopyland were deniers, tea-baggers, deplorable, garbage, living jack-boots...

The world bank in about to foreclose on itself because it's bankrupt.

We purchased the fantasy; time to pay the Dane.

Believe it out not we, the US, are in much better shape than the rest. Less than 10% of our economy is export driven and we can replace the imports domestically. Ramping up the manufacturing won't be cheap, or easy, but we can do it. People don't realize how much the rest of the world depends on access to our economy, access we can lock out at anytime we want.

Then there is the coming population collapse...that's not going to help their bottom line.

If their economy collapses, they have too many people to feed and too many young men.

Tho old men either have to pick a fight or they will be forced to defend themselves.

There will be war because I think the world economy is about to implode...

A deposit of high-quality gold ore containing around 1,000 metric tons (1,100 US tons) of the precious metal has been discovered in central China, according to Chinese state media.

Valued at approximately 600 billion yuan or US$83 billion, the discovery could be considered the largest and most lucrative reservoir of gold ever uncovered, surpassing the 900 metric tons estimated to lie within the mother of all gold reserves, South Deep mine in South Africa.

The Geological Bureau of Hunan Province announced the detection of 40 gold veins within a depth of 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) in the northeast Hunan county of Pingjiang.

These alone were thought to contain 300 metric tons of gold, with 3D modeling suggesting additional reserves may be found to a depth of 3 kilometers.

That is true. But the stupid political hacks that print and borrow have put all of that at risk. The lessons of history should make it clear. The USA is on course to be unable to make loan payments without printing it. Once that starts the inflation rate goes crazy and the global value of the dollar would collapse. In terms of shutting other countries down with economic tools it is true that it can be done. However, that starts wars. The reason that Japan hit Pearl Harbor was because the USA was taking steps to crush the economy in Japan. This world runs on money. Money! Money! Money! If the money stops flowing then people get mad and governments get mad.

The one child policy and massive corruption combined to screw china.
