Game Show Story

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a story, but I’m curious if it has the intrigue factor that I think it does.

Our protagonist Grace is invited onto a mysterious dating show, where she is presented with four daddy doms to choose from.

I want to have one character, the host, breaking the fourth wall speaking to the readers (viewers) and having comments influence the story.

I have a rough overall plotline, but the comments would inform some things in the story or would be used in the story in some way.

Thoughts?

I do like the concept of a dating show.

But I'm curious in how you want to go by it. Is the reader just the audience?
Because writing it that way would make it very 3rd person and visual description based.

Like an audience wouldn't know her feelings and sensations, just what they can see.
If you want to write that way, that's fine of course. But I do think it's hard to do.

Personally I would have there be an audience that the host adresses, but not that the reader is that audience. You can still have him give information, but without breaking the 4th wall. He is just adressing the audience that is there.

What do you mean by comments influencing the story? Like the actual comments under the story? As far as the 4th wall breaking goes, I think that would only work if you had some kind of magical vibe.
