There goes the price of citrus
I don't like citrus. I find that strange because I live in the center of so many trees.

Because I never ate them, my daughter was 7 before she ever had one. It was hilarious. She didn't know how to eat it. Some one brought a bag of cuties?? to a soccer game and she came up to me with one that looked like an apple with a bite out of it. She had a disgusted look on her face and said, I don't like this. She pushed it out of her mouth and it had the chewed up skin in it 🤣 She didn't know you peel them! I showed her how and then she said it was much better

They are super delicious - without the skins.
Sadly, they also flare my arthritis. So I either buy a bag and give a bunch away or I hope they're part of the menu over the holidays at my siblings' homes. 🧡
They really don't sell cuties individually where I live. 🤷‍♀️

For anyone who's curious.
18 degrees with 6-12 inches coming tonight (6 to 12 inches, hehe....). 6-8 more inches this morning on top of the 16 last night.

So, anyone in Florida want to host pale white northerners for a few days or weeks? LOL 😂
We were about 10° warmer than you last night. But... we have no precipitation. It was the first night with sustained temps below freezing.

Luckily, my fuchsias got taken in yesterday! They will winter in the solarium. What remains to be seen is if I can keep them alive over the winter. That was a husband job.

The construction guys noticed one of the trees between my house and my neighbor to the north is cleaved at a fork.😱😱 It's a really tall cedar tree >30 ft. Thankfully, the top is leaning against one of its neighbors. But, I'm afraid another windstorm will send it onto my or my neighbor's house. He looked at it and called a friend of his who is a tree surgeon. IDK if the whole tree needs to come down or not. 🌳 👨🏻‍⚕️

I’m just glad that people respect that Christmas tree should not be bought until after Thanksgiving.
We used to go the day after Thanksgiving every year to cut down our tree. It was one of our traditions. We wear our Santa hats, even the dog! We had to stop when hubs couldn't see well enough to wield the saw. Then we got a nice artificial pre-lit tree.

I was at the liquor store getting some beer for our anniversary dinner. It was a narrow aisle, and a husband and wife were in the way. I waited for them to figure out what they wanted.

No big deal. No rush…

Then I heard it. Gettin jiggy widdit come on the PA speaker.

I couldn’t help it, my white guy overbite came out… my hands and hips started gyrating… I am the whitest guy in America on the dance floor.

I didn’t care.

The lady looked at me and burst out laughing. She said “you just couldn’t help yourself, could you?”

I said “nope” grabbed a few 24 oz gennies and sauntered to the cashier.🤪

Happy anniversary to you and the lovely Mrs W! 🥰🥰💘

Rooting for the tree, but not at the risk of the house. Glad you've got some connections to help you figure it all out. Proactive is better than reactive IMO

At least get a vacuum for them so they can be composted. Blowers just spread those leaves all around.
Our compost heap would be 10 feet high and 75 feet long! As it is, just pushing them back in the woods makes a 250 foot long pile 3 feet high. Be selling compost just to make room for the next falls leaves! Leaf blower is the right tool for the job in some places... :)
