Well, I don't agree. I think anyone "at birth" can potentially be either gay or straight. Like I said, it's just a matter of how you develop.It is true that most people aren't actually attracted to members of the appropriate sex when they're very young. But that does NOT mean your sexuality could go either way, it just means it hasn't kicked in yet. Most, if not all, GLBT people I've met knew from a very, very young age that they were not straight. And it certainly had nothing to do with being "groomed" or otherwise steered that way - in most cases they were reared in very homophobic environments.
I'm more on the "nuture" side of the debate. That does not mean instant "grooming." I feel the same way about heterosexuality.
One's sexuality goes through many stages of development influenced by many factors.
What I really disagree with it the OP's assertion that it's an obvious fact that people are born one way or the other. No, it's not.
