The FBI has lost so much credibility that Trump is not even using them for background investigations of his nominees.

Trump and his team are using private companies for background checks. He plans to override the usual process and grant security clearance his first day in office. Then once his own people are running the FBI, he will allow the FBI to do background checks. The concern is that the current corrupted FBI, controlled by the deep state, will use their investigation process to nuke some of Trump's nominees. Until Trump has his own people in the FBI and can bring a stop to the political motivation to attack his nominees,

Trump has cut the FBI out of the process. Guess he learned a lesson from last time alright. Great to see.

It's s shame that the FBI is so corrupt and politicized that it cannot be trusted, but until it can be gutted and the corruption weeded out, it's the only approach that's reasonable.

Still hasn't signed the ethics agreement and still refuses to have the FBI do background checks on his nominees

At this point there is no transition. Just a bunch of words from 47

Won't be any FBI background checks until Trump takes over. Who trusts the FBI?

The Trump Admin finally signed the Transition Agreement with the Outgoing Biden Administration to hand off Control of the Government— but with a Twist…

The entire transition Will Be PRIVATELY FUNDED, not using tax-payer Dollars, GSA Technology, or Government Buildings. What does this mean…?

It means Trumps MAGA administration has decided to go dark and is creating a secure transition environment to preclude the spying that happened last timw. Trump’s administration will not be using GSA provided cell phones, computers, offices or “any technology” provided by the GSA.

This transition is actually very interesting in a way that I'm not sure is being fully appreciated.

Trump has world leaders on a string, he hasn't even taking over and he's making calls, taking names, and they're flying in and kissing the ring. The latest being Trudeau, who actually flew to Florida to have dinner with him and discuss how Canada will fall into line.

Biden is not even a lame duck, he may as well just hand over now. Nobody's paying any attention to him. That, and Trump is appointing a cabinet that would have gotten him shot at in 2016. LOL.

47 is a lame duck on Jan 20.

Trump signed the law to require presidential ethics pledges. Now he is exempting himself from it

I didn't see that he signed it this week.

The Senate will likely balk at signoff from nominees not checked by the FBI

The Senate can balk all they like. Those nominees are going through via recess appointments and the RINO's are being identified and the primaries lined up.

Cornyn is already in the crosshairs and he'll be gone next election. Others are going to follow. They can repent and join the team, or they can be cast out into the political wilderness with their time up.

He'll likely sail through the sure things that have already been vetted from previous roles. He's gonna be stuck with limited acting roles for the rest.

Are you moving MAGA voters into their states? That would be an interesting move. Cornyn has won re election multiple times....and it's not because of MAGA. He's not up for reelection until 2028

Btw - recess appointments aren't going to happen.

The Supreme Court agreed that the president could use the Adjournment Clause to force an adjournment long enough to make recess appointments, as long as there is a disagreement between the Senate and the House on when to adjourn. Johnston will be onside and Trump will ram it through.

Yeah, but I suspect with Paxton going up against him, Paxton will win. And yeah, 2028, but better 2028 than in another 20 years.....

Getting rid of all these RINO's is an ongoing burden for the GOP but it has to happen to remake the party completely. It's good that they're making themlseves so easy to identify though. We can keep targeting them until they're gone.

47 will be done by then

Good luck!

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang is trying to normalize DonOld’s bizarre, corrupt transition.

If a Democratic administration had done a single one of the abnormal and bizarre things that DonOld has done, the "republicans" would have lost their collective shit (which is a lot of shit).

Chloe “Chicongo” Tzang is a traitor and a clownish troll.

One of the reasons I opened this thread....so we'd have a consistent thread to track all these points and discuss, rather than rather pointlessy opening multiple threads for every little news clip or news item (not naming anyone in particular - and certainly not you - LOL).

I would like to see it happen. You say it won't, but whether it will or not....Trump seems to have his sights set on recess appointments, and it may be the only way some of his more "controversial" appointments will make it through, so we will see. It's not like recess appointments haven't been used before, after all.

47 will be done by then
Ah, but then it will be JD's turn......and Trump certainly picked him with an eye to the succession..

Good luck!
Thank you :D - we are in for a fascinating four years.

As with the changes to the fillobuster has come back to bite Democrats. Forced recess appointments mean the next Democrat will do the same to appoint unvetted and unqualified people without any input from the American people. (And no, electing a President isn't the same as supporting their nominees)

You want the Senate to not have their consent. How very authoritarian of you.

Just don't bitch when the next Democratic President does the same.
