I just discovered a bag of wooden dinosaur projects in garage I'm guessing my Dad bought for nephew a long time ago, debating with myself on putting them together or not. Searching for a wooden/other Xmas ornament kit to put together for this year but no luck yet. Not alot of variety in craft merch in my area.

I lloooovee the dinosaurs.... The T Rex was Soo cool

I think one of them is a T-Rex, some are just emptied out of bag and mixed together but is a T-Rex on one bag.....we'll see tomorrow

Oh I just noticed this thread! I’m also a self-taught, for the most part, crocheter. It’s amazing what you can learn on YouTube. I haven’t done anything other than blankets. I find it so relaxing.

I am trying a new stitch called Catherine’s Wheel. I’ll post a picture below. This is a trial run. You can see where the bottom row is my first attempt because there are holes that I was still trying to close up, and then as I went further I got a little better.

I have a bad habit of starting a project and then wandering off and starting something else. So I need to get back to learning this stitch again because it’s so pretty when it’s done correctly.

And this beauty is the "all in one" from red heart...
The concept is amazing.... But it was rather frustrating setting the gauge, and even then I think some of it was way wrong ... I had to step down two hook sizes and stitch way tighter than normal.... Maybe I'm a loosely goosey hooker
