The cancer survivor's restorative thread

I have to see the nephrologist on Wednesday. I hope I don't have to do that 24 hour pee in a bucket test again. The worst part is the container is bright orange and carrying it back and forth at work to the bathroom. ugh.

Meh. He's not worried.

I noticed that Emerson and Mahnoor etal have similar worldviews and interests, and that they bonded.

I wasn't referring to you, pookie.
As much as I loathe what you've been doing in this thread, I would never put you in the same category as those two.

I know you weren't. I just loved the irony. :rose:

Cancer Is a Drag

I will be the first to admit that there are times that Vivian, and even drag in general, frustrate me to no end. If they didn’t, there wouldn’t be a reason for me to blog. That being said, I know that if Vivian didn’t exist, I would miss out on some amazing opportunities. As I have written countless times, drag queens often have the biggest hearts of anyone I know. They are always the first ones to step up for causes that they believe in and donate their time and support. I can say with great pride that Vivian is one of those queens. Vivian and I feel that it is extremely important to support and donate our time to charitable organizations.

One of those causes is the fight against cancer. Cancer is something that has affected both of us. Vivian has lost family members to this terrible disease, and her brother is currently fighting pancreatic cancer. My family has been haunted by cancer for as long as I can remember: I have lost my maternal grandmother, my paternal grandfather, and my father to cancer or complications caused by cancer.

That's actually true.
Dunno about and can't comment on what happened before I joined the forum (as Fata once said, it explains her and your attitudes),
but from what I've seen since I joined, I started to like Ann.
I like her humour& witty posts + how she puts her heart into telling off the board stalkers.

That's cool. You should also check out "Bert Notorius" as well. He typically posts when Bertie Ann is taking a break.

They're like two testes in a ball sack. *nods*

Fake Cancer can cause memory loss.

I can't remember for example whether my fake ass cancer was the GB's first fake cancer.

It might have been the second recorded case.

Either way, I now make little lists for myself.

Or, it could be the weed.

Your cancer is real, Lance.
It's tongue cancer. It causes you to be a blabbermouth and to say all sorts.

Fighting Stage 4 colon cancer through androgyny, drag and self-expression

Muhammad Khairul Ihkwan wants you to know him now as Venus Scepter, complete with the wigs and make-up.

Why? Because after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and given only two months to live, this fierce young Singaporean has outlived his death sentence by months and is fighting his illness through art, makeup and androgyny.

UPDATE: Khairul succumbed to his ailment on Aug 28, 2016. Our thoughts are with his family.

I saw in the news tonight that Olivia Newton John, who had postponed the start of her summer concert tour due to nebulous "lower back pain", has full-on metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her sacrum. That sounds very serious to have spread that far.

It's very sad when a woman is stricken with cancer.
My best wishes to her and her family.

I was worried that ann had succumb to real cancer because I hadn't seen him around in a while, but then I saw one of his posts and knew he was okay and still cancer free.:)

Denny

Cancer is not a laughing matter.
It's sad that a thread supposedly started to help others who may or may not have a form of cancer to realize they should be checked now and then turned into a hate thread and a big joke..

Also a thread where those who have had or know a cancer survivor..... or one who didn't survive, could share love, comfort, and information.

Too many Lit members have become a cancer themselves, feeding on the others, spreading hate, and turning a great porn forum into a cesspool of cancer.

Sadly like Alzhiemers, dementia, and most cancers there is no cure for stupidity and hate.
