What, this thread ain't closed yet? Laurel must be busy. Meanwhile, we escaped another fire-season power shutoff because rain. Whew. And yesterday's medical sessions were interrupted by hamburgers and ice water. Power and burgers -- coincidence?

Snow just started here about fifteen minutes ago, first of the season. This is about six weeks earlier than last year. :)

The ski slope above town got enough snow today to almost cover the grass. In town, we've had about 10% of our normal annual rainfall in the last couple days.

It looked like a lot more coming down than it actually was. We got maybe half an inch ground cover. Made the pines look like Christmas trees though. :) Flagstaff probably got more. The ski resort up there is supposed to open this weekend, but I am sure they will use man-made snow to create enough powder for skiing since they only got 19 inches for their base. We had such a dry summer, it will be interesting to see how the winter goes.
