Snow just started here about fifteen minutes ago, first of the season. This is about six weeks earlier than last year.

The ski slope above town got enough snow today to almost cover the grass. In town, we've had about 10% of our normal annual rainfall in the last couple days.

It looked like a lot more coming down than it actually was. We got maybe half an inch ground cover. Made the pines look like Christmas trees though. Flagstaff probably got more. The ski resort up there is supposed to open this weekend, but I am sure they will use man-made snow to create enough powder for skiing since they only got 19 inches for their base. We had such a dry summer, it will be interesting to see how the winter goes.
