What's up with the horses? Most of the ones in the pics have bridles which implies they had people on or with them very recently. They don't stay in barns that way and pretty sure wild ones don't have them. I mean I guess they could but the lack of thumbs would make it hard.

They aren't wearing "bridles", they're wearing halters. Horses wear halters when they're out in pasture. And you want make sure they're wearing one during an event where you may need to catch and lead them away in a hurry.
